Help Rookie All Star 5458 Digital Minds get to St. Louis
 

Digital Minds from Woodland and Pioneer HS in California unexpectedly qualified for Champs. Along with winning the Sacramento Rookie All Star they were on our winning alliance along with 118 Robonauts. While Davis is a college town, Woodland is a farming community with a large Hispanic community; a majority of team members come from Spanish-first households. They don't have the resources to come up quickly with the money to pay for a trip on a short notice.

We're incredibly proud of their accomplishments this season, and now we're helping them raise funds for their trip. We'll be assisting them with their travel arrangements and getting through the hoops in St. Louis. If you would like to help as well, you can go to their GoFundMe site and donate:

I wish them luck we were in a similar unexpected situation last year and many paid out of pocket to go. It is very expensive for a west coast team to get to St Louis and do accommodations/food...second year is/can be much better with additional fundraising building on the success first year.

If able its awesome to compete with top bots in the world ...good luck on the fundraising!

FYI there is a Shipping Exemption perhaps for next year that can certainly help out.... for financially struggling teams. Have to apply in December.
