Hey! What are YOU doing at Championship?
 

I don't pull this often, but we're less than a month out to Championship and I want to ask the most dedicated group in FRC for help.

I need official scorers. Yes, official scorers.

What does that mean? You get to watch matches on a divisional level, with some of the best teams in all of FIRST. For three days of your time, you get a ton of fun, you get fed, and massaged.

My only requirement right now is that you're 18+. You'll need to sign up in VIMS: https://my.usfirst.org/FIRSTPortal/L...IMS_Login.aspx, but honestly, volunteering is amazing and you should sign up anyway. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Massage Envy has provided 10 minute chair massages for volunteers through the lunch hours (for free!!!) ever since we've been in St Louis. The masseuses are working on building up their professional hours required for licensure, so it's a win-win.

I'm already signed up to be a scorer, and have been for a long time! Looking forward to it! :)

How many do you need? I have lots of friends in STL, but they probably wouldn't know this game, and would be new to FRC. Obviously the scoring position is not at all difficult having done it at NYC as well.

Scorers can't be high school students (even if 18+) - at least that's what the head ref at NYC told me when some eager high school students were assigned. But it sounds like the massages will be awesome! :D

Been there, done that. . had the massage. OMG those massages. I am working with my team this year so I won't be getting any - but a number of my kids are volunteering for field reset.

If you can get me an excused absence and housing for all of Champs I'd go down from Rolla. Until then, I think I'll just be there Friday Afternoon and Saturday.

I am working in the FLL area. First time volunteering at Champs. I have worked at the KC FLL for 3 years. I will spend Saturday watching 1730

Jess already sold me on it! I've volunteered at Championship every year I haven't had a team there, and it's a well-oiled (and well-fed, and well-clothed) machine. Sign up for a gig!
