[NE FIRST] Championship Photo Scavenger Hunt
 

After all the feedback from our last contest post we decided to change the contest into a Photo Scavenger Hunt.

Andromeda One Team #4905 would like to invite you to take part in a photo scavenger hunt at the New England Championship’s.

Just tag us on Instagram or Twitter with the picture and #FRC4905 and your team number.

List of Activities:

• Picture of yourself with our mascot (5 Points)
• Picture of yourself wearing 5+ buttons (5: 3 Points 10: 5 Points)
• Picture with Dean Kamen or a member of FIRST (10 Points)
• Picture with your teams robot (3 Points)
• Picture of yourself showing team spirit (5 Points)
• Picture of yourself with your teams mascot (3 Points)
• Picture of yourself or your team making buttons (3 Points)
• Picture of your team 3d printing (5 Points)
• Picture of yourself recycling (3 Points)
• Picture of your teams pit (3 Points)

Prize: All point totals will be added up Friday night 4/10/15. Prizes will be delivered to your pit during lunch Saturday afternoon. You could win Team 4905 themed gear or a special 3d printed item.

Such individuals usually wear a shirt or vest identifying their title.

Just a technicality... NE FIRST Regional Directors work for NE FIRST, not FIRST HQ. FIRST Senior Mentors in New England are not technically FIRST employees, we're stipend-paid volunteers. VISTAs are not FIRST employees either. So looking for us wearing certain apparel is not a good indicator if we are truly FIRST employees. (and I won't have on anyway as I am performing a different volunteer role at District CMPS)

Specificity aside, I think a member of FIRST could be considered someone who is representing FIRST at the event as a volunteer or an employee. This is a fun scavenger hunt, not a job application.

I think everyone's being a bit too hard on an outstanding 2nd year team that is looking to engage the NE FIRST community in a fun and unique way.

This team has blown me away all season with their outreach and engagement in FIRST and NE FIRST. Especially in the social media area.

Thank you 4905 for putting in the extra time before such a big weekend to give the teams and spectators something extra to look forward to at the District Championship! I look forward to seeing what people post!

Trying snag a picture with an FTA is a good approach, though. They might be too busy to comply, though.
