Need assistance finding bearing housing for thunderhex bearings.
 

My team needs to use a pillow block or something similar to hold a thunder hex bearing. We can't use the clamp on bearing block because it is much too big. An alternate that would still allow the use of a hex shaft would also work. Thanks.

The thunderhex bearing has the same outer diameter as the 1/2" round bearing. Any of the numerous housings designed for these bearings, including the VexPro versadrive clamp on bearing block or the versaframe side bearing mount, should work fine.

What do you wish to mount the bearing to? tubing? plate? block?

Simplest solution is to use the flanged bearing and make a plate that it presses into. Which thunderhex bearing do you have? radial or flanged?

You can hold the flanged bearing in by putting three small screws around the outside (tapped into the plate) if you have a load which would push it out of a simple hole. Usually they will hold pretty well.

You can also hold the bearing in by using shaft collars...

If you have a 3d printer that's something that could be modeled and printed pretty easily

Thanks for the help, we're looking into maybe using it in a press-fit situation. 3d printing is an option, but we've had bad luck with it in the past.
