This is in contention for the best promo/reveal video ever, next to 254's woodbot.

Re: Wave Robotics 2826 Championship Super Serious Promo video
The real question is.....
Would tethering an RC car be legal? |
Re: Wave Robotics 2826 Championship Super Serious Promo video
Just to be clear, what's going on with the difference between your stack times from the HP station the first and second time around? Are those just dependent on human feed speed?

Re: Wave Robotics 2826 Championship Super Serious Promo video
I don't recall the team #, but at Northern Lights, there was a very clever bot design that had a tethered 'mini-tote bot'. They took a tote, chopped out the middle 'layer' so that they had just the tote bottom and top, about 5" tall. It had two powered wheels, and a pneumatic cylinder. The main bot mined the landfill, and the mini bot's top was a receiving platform for two feeder totes. It would then drive to the scoring platform, and drive a piston down through a hole in the mini bot bottom at one end (think 2012 stinger) , and the two totes would slide off the tote bot onto the platform -- they had cut away and smoothed the top lip on one side so that the scoring totes would slide off.
They had one driver for the big bot, and the other driver for the tethered tote bot. |

I've seen their quad-coptor fly before, and I believe he could put a noodle in an RC with it.

Re: Wave Robotics 2826 Championship Super Serious Promo video
Holy gracious goodness this is the best video I've ever watched. You are now officially my favorite team ever. Seriously. Like you just jumped about 12 spots on my list. I even like you better than my own team. Great job, guys. 👏

*Wave is from Wisconsin, and in the US we spell it favorite, not that other odd spelling. |
Really enjoyed watching your performance during the eliminations at the Wisconsin Regional. Noodle only as necessary. Enjoy champs!
