Einstein Field

Now that the subdivision elimination rounds are over. Who will represent each division on Einstein. Who will be crowned the 2015 FRC World Champions?

Bluman56 25-04-2015 14:01

Re: Einstein Field

My prediction is that it will be a match up between 987, 2826, 2512 and 148, 1114, 1923. However, given how fast 118 and 1678's can burglars are, I can see them beating out the 987 alliance in semis and advancing to Einstein finals. I'm not gonna try to predict a champion alliance because honestly anything can happen. Either way, should be fun!

5 years? Try 11.

They've won a minimum of 1 regional/year since 2004. 3 regionals each in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2 in 2012, 2007, as well as trips to Einstein in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2015, and being inducted into the HOF in 2012.

Whoa chill. I was just referring to Einstein trips. I picked 2010 just because it was a 5 year mark (also because going out to 10 years would have taken too long). I know their regional history. I wasn't trying to make any assertions about the teams, I was just providing a small insight into what kinds of teams are on Einstein right now.

When I stated that "they've been powerful in the last 5 years" I was referring to the fact that they made Einstein 4/5 years from 2010-2015. I was not asserting that they have ONLY been powerful in the last 5 years, because that simply isn't true.

They're high school kids, not professional athletes....going to be a tad awkward but they definitely could have planned better questions for her...

I wasn't trying to be snippy, I guess it did kind of come off that way though. I'm equally aware 177's no slouch when it comes to being a regular sight on Einstein either.

Yes it definitely appeared that way. I wonder if 148 will try to challenge it to get a replay.

Looks like the last match didn't start correctly as well...

Not to mention they don't even interview professional athletes during timeouts during a game, which is the equivalent to the time between rounds for an FRC team.

Lol, you came at me with all of these numbers, so I thought you were angry. Just a misunderstanding. And yea, 177 had a few good years in there

Certainly not. I was there in Atlanta watching in 2010 when 177 was in the middle of that streak.

And once again demonstrating just how hard it is to win CMP? 2056. 22 regional wins. Never lost a regional (and 4 time members of the 3-in-a-year club, second only to 1114's 6-times), and yet still can't get the planets to align on Einstein.

If the two fields are called Energy and Mass, shouldn't they really just be the same fields?

Honestly, a lot of it comes down to schedule and who picks whom. We were at champs in 2014 coming off our best regular season since 2006 and got killed in quals because of a tough schedule.

Yep, or in this case, falling stacks and the brutality of the QF's in an avg score bracket with only 2 matches.

Winning CMP is less about prowess and more about being able to be consistent and take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves (see 2013 CMP and 1241/610/1477's run to 3 matches in every round.)

It really is. IMHO, our robot should have been ranked higher than 90th in Archimedes last year, but a tough schedule really killed us. We would score a fair amount but then get absolutely torn apart by the other alliance or have some untimely disconnect from the FMS. It's all about consistency.
