... is what I thought I would have heard during the Einstein rounds. Why did FIRST delay the announcement this year and not tell anyone? I'm not alone in thinking it's best to announce this during the Einstein rounds, right?

Most of the TBA viewers are pretty appalled too. The most prestigious award is being completely ignored.

On the awards section for Einstein on the FIRST website, CCA isnt even listed as an award...

Two things are wrong with this statement:

1. It did not end until 7:00 PM
2. They did not present FIRST's most prestigious award

Many teams decided to skip the concert and instead start their long bus rides home, and now they have to miss the Hall of Fame presentation. I feel bad for all of the teams that had dinner reservations, to...

Can someone please fill me in on what's going on (or went on) with Chairman's at the Championship 2015. Many of us are confused. Is it later, did we miss it? Is it not happening?

I'd bet a lot of teams are leaving right now with it running so late. What a disgrace.

FIRST is announcing the FLL Champions Award, FRC Inspire Award, and FRC Chairman's Award at the Finale.

It's a full on concert and dance party over here. No mention of any awards AFAIK.

FIRST got a lot wrong with this Championship, but I don't think forgetting to announce their 3 most prestigious awards was one of those things.

So far, this event has been spectacular from our viewpoint. We've been a little confused about the timing of events. I agree that it would have been a better idea to announce chairmans on einstein. However, I'm not going to call it stupid or judge the entire event by that one issue.. Make sure you mention that change in your champ survey.

Dance party is right. They're having a dance off near the stage.

They didn't forget to announce, they're just super super super late (1 hour) in doing so. The Finale stage has a podium and four seats (Dean, Don, etc...) so it should be as soon as this starts....

Until then we'll just be feeling this bass...

Yeah, all I see on the livestream is the first logo and raining confetti logo shapes. No music, no info. If it wasn't for the chat, wouldn't really know that anything was still going on.::rtm::

I am happy that they are giving the most prestigious awards in FIRST their own stage now instead of it being a sideshow to Einstein as it has been in the past.

Nobody has a clue. FLL award has been given out. Woodie is speaking now. I presume FTC award will still go before FRC, but timeline is still unannounced.

A couple facts...

597 won a regional chairman's award first in 2007, then 2010, 2012, and then in 2015
Along the way they also won several EI awards in, 2008, 2011, 2014 and in 2015

Or they can present it on the same stage as Einstein, while everyone is still present and while FIRST has everyone's attention. Everyone wants to stay for Einstein, but not everyone can stay for the finale, especially those who didn't know they would present the CCA winner then....
