Transporting pool noodles

My friend/driver forgot to pack his brain for the flight to St. Louis, and as a result has some extra luggage space to fit in one of the pool noodles he ripped up for the flight back.

Does anyone know how he can safely transport pool noodles without upsetting airport security?

They aren't any different than other luggage. Just make it fit.
