2015 Indiana Robotics Invitational
 

The 2015 Indiana Robotics Invitational is July 17 & 18 at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis.

We will be playing RecycleRUSH+

Entry Fee is $750 + a backpack filled with school items for a 1st - 2nd grade student.

We expect to have about 66 - 70 teams.

Applications will open in early May and be open for about 2 weeks. Applications are reviewed based on team performance in the 2015 FIRST season and NOT on the time / date of the application.

Invited teams will have 2 weeks to accept / decline and make payment arrangements.

Details on any game rule changes will be announced before teams must commit to attendance.

Please note that significant time and effort is taken to review every application and make the final decisions on invitations. In 2014 there were over 110 applications. If you are not able to attend, please do not apply "just to see if you can get in".

North IRI can be hosted in Kokomo but South IRI will definitely be tricky. Nothing the IRI crew can't figure out!

I don't know about this Yellowknife place. I've never been, but I wouldn't bring my students there because it sounds dangerous.

South IRI can be held at Warren High School where they held the Indiana District Championship and is a significantly larger school than Lawrence north (1 million square feet:ahh: )!

That won't happen until 2017. At that point they will be transitioning out of North Lawrence, but not completely until 2018 and beyond.😊

For 2015, there is still just one IRI, and the website has been updated with more information for the event.

We will keep adding details.

Will there be a video component to the application again this year? Asking for a friend.

(No, really, asking for a friend. If 4901 can't get in after winning Orlando and channeling The Nature Boy himself, I know we don't have a shot this year. :))
