A mecanum robot that can move cars (from the BBC)

Ran across this BBC video about a robot that looks like a cross between a 2007 robot mixed with minibots. The "minibots" have mecanum wheels and can move cars within a parking garage style environment.

Skip to about 44 seconds in. Looks cool.

This makes me wonder what other real world applications there are for mecanum wheels and omni wheels for that matter?
