USB Serial Port

Our team will be switching to Java from Labview over the summer so I went digging into WPILIBJ and saw that you could initialize the serial port as the RS-232, MXP UART, or the USB. To my knowledge you couldn't use USB in Labview.

Has anyone used this? Can you chose which USB port?

In order to do this you have to use a Usb to serial adapter. And it will recognize the serial port.

A little late, but here's a version of the LabVIEW serial port open that supports the first USB serial device.

Java and C++ kUSB only support the first USB serial device.
