Oh man today is the day!!! :D :ahh: Thanks for the time that you put into the decision IRI committee, it's a meaningful event because you put in the time to make it meaningful. But sooo exited for the list!!! :D :ahh: :eek:

I did not mean for my post to be take negatively. I looked at the application list and can objectively fill about 1/2 the slots. Below there, the choices become extremely hard. I don't know how to do it. Which led to my conclusion that hell you might as well throw the cards up the stairs. So after the list is released , it would be just as interesting to here from the committee just how they approached this humongous problem.

R2OC is the week after IRI. They just need to change the name to IRI (Illinois Robotics Invitational)

The Invitation List is posted in another thread.

I won't go into much detail about the "process", except to say we look at Regional / District performance, through-season improvement, CHP performance, draft order, event rankings, other data and uniqueness.

The only guaranteed spots each year are the previous year winning alliance and the SIlent Auction spots. The Host Teams are evaluated against the same criteria as all others and are not guaranteed a spot.
