Wow! That's all I have to say, FIRST has changed my life and many others. I have always been interested in the sciences but never before would I have ever imagined in my deepest dreams what I was capable of accomplishing. Looking back on this years season and past competitions I am amazed at how much I've grown as a person. I went from being the little freshman on the team not really knowing what was going on to being in my third year as a captain on the team.I've changed my motivation in life away from just making it in the big leagues for soccer to actually doing and accomplishing something great in my life. Now instead of browsing through college brochures asking myself, how is their soccer team? do I want to play for them?, I go through, call colleges, asking about their FIRST program (or lack there of) and whether or not I could double major in electrical and mechanical engineering. Before I got involved in this program these things weren't even a thought in my mind! If FIRST can change one persons dreams like mine so much, imagine the effect it has had on all the participants for the past 10 years, all the lifes it has affected and aspirations it has inspired! If you all had to choose one single point in FIRST's history, your personal teams or in general, that you felt was so incredible you'll never forget it, what would it be and why?My moment has to be being voted in as a captain on my team, the feeling was so great and it made me become more aware of my love for this program!
