Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015
Team 1836: The Milkenknights had a lot of fun at Chezy Champs and would like to thank team 254 for hosting a phenomenal offseason event.
Congratulations to teams 3476, 971, and 968 for winning it all against a tough finalist alliance in 254, 973, and 604. Starting my fourth year on the team off as an alliance captain and personally representing our team at alliance selection was a new and very interesting learning experience for me, and my team really enjoyed working with team 696 again (they picked us at ventura) and 3859 for the first time on our elims alliance. We would also like to thank teams 3309 and 1678 for helping us fix our elevator before our first elims match and teams 254, 696, 3859, and 1983 for helping us fix our intake before our second elims match. |
Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015
Thanks to 254 for a fantastic off-season event and huge congrats to the winning alliance!
For me, that final match was more interesting than watching 2015 Einstein finals! |
Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015
Another awesome Chezy Champs.
It is the most pleasant, relaxed, professional and well run event we've ever competed at. Congrats to our buddies on 3476, 971 and 968. Awesome to see these teams perform so well. Also great to see a team I've been a long time fan of (968) win the event for the alliance. Thanks to our partners 254 and 604. Always good to play with the poofs, and we're very sorry to 604 that this game is so awful that them sitting was the best strategy. Looking forward to a great event next year! |

Pat: "Up first on the red alliance, it's Team 973!"
Tom: "It's the fighting AdamHeards!" |

Videos of the finals can be found over here on one of 971's Youtube channels.
https://www.youtube.com/user/smanrobotics/videos Thank you to 254, 604, 968, 971, 973, & 3476 for an incredible set of matches! Recycle Rush wasn't perfect but those matches were some of the most exciting to watch of the year. |

We had a real blast playing with 3476 and 968. Thanks again for picking us and making such great partners, we look forward to playing with both of you in the future! Huge thanks to 254, 973, and 604 for some amazing finals matches. You guys were a top notch alliance, it just goes to show what we missed seeing at champs. |

Plus 254 made their first stack for each match in the landfill and was insanely fast but that was before noodles got in the way. 254 with the correct drive would have been an amazing landfill bot. Keep up the good work guys. I always love seeing 254 machines. |

Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015
The Skunks had another great time at Chezy Champs!!
thanks go to Team 3309 and team 841 who accepted our invitations to play in the finals. They were great team mates and we hope to team up again next year. The game was fun to play and certainly the changes made in the rules could have made the St. Louis finals different. It was a different game and seemed to play better for many teams. It was always played right to the end of every match as shown in the finals. Very exciting to see so many stacks go up. 15 stacks were up in the very final match. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and worked at the event!! You were all very gracious and a joy to work with and be around. Thanks to all of the teams. Even though we were the only non-California team there, we felt right at home. Hopefully we will be able to come back next year.... with bumpers.... |
Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015
Another top quality event by Team 254. Although our robot didn't perform as well as we hoped, our students and mentors had a good experience and we enjoyed the event. I know that it's no small undertaking to put on an event like this, and we appreciate all your hard work to make it happen.

Code Orange, team 3476, had a blast working with 971 and 968 in elims, mad props to 971 for a complete redesign that was executed extremely well.
Thanks 254 for hosting one of our favorite events of the year, and the only one who has came close to fixing recycle rush.. |

Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015
I think what everyone loved about chezy champs was no noodle throwing. For champs, 973 set up a worst-case noodled landfill to practice with:https://youtu.be/OhSe7BvzLS0

Do you guys always use the bandroom for your practice field?

For any of the teams who took advantage of the photo opportunity, you can find your robot photos here.

Re: Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs 2015
It looks like a couple of teams are missing from that folder. The first one I noticed is my team (1836). Our robot has a black 6 wheel drivetrain (4 coulson 2 omnis) and black/blue elevator. I also noticed 1678 and 973's pictures are also missing. I am not sure if they went to have their robots photographed, but I am sure my team had ours. The confusion was probably because our robot is missing our team numbers.
