All joking aside, the event was hella fun.

Doubling down on an off-by-one.

Videos of the finals can be found over here on one of 971's Youtube channels.

Thank you to 254, 604, 968, 971, 973, & 3476 for an incredible set of matches! Recycle Rush wasn't perfect but those matches were some of the most exciting to watch of the year.

Also up there with those performances is 254 doing an auto and 4 capped stacks out of the landfill. 254 continues to show that they can field top performing robots and drive teams, in addition to putting on world class events. Thanks for continuing to make Chezy Champs such a fun time (despite the recycle rush).

We had a real blast playing with 3476 and 968. Thanks again for picking us and making such great partners, we look forward to playing with both of you in the future!

Huge thanks to 254, 973, and 604 for some amazing finals matches. You guys were a top notch alliance, it just goes to show what we missed seeing at champs.

Once again, 1678 had a blast at Chezy Champs! 254 puts on the most fantastic event. Great atmosphere, friendly volunteers, bullet proof FMS, team-centered culture, quality audio/video production. Like we saw last year, 254 is raising the bar and showing everyone in California what is possible with a little money and a lot of hard work!

We're still trying to decide if we'll go to Chezy Champs North or Chezy Champs South in 2016, if we get a choice at all...

-Mike

You'll be happy to know there's a committee forming as we speak full of people that have done things that will take the pain of deciding away for you.

4 capped stacks out of the landfill? Anyone got a video? I personally thought that 254 was the best robot this year as far as 1 robot goes, but landfill bots make for better for alliance selection due to overuse of the human player station. This would prove 254 as the best HP and Landfill bot...

They did it in a qual, and several times in elims.

They are definitely the best landfill robot, and the best HP robot.

cool, did they ever do full landfill at worlds? I always thought they did 1 stack from the landfill and 3 from the human player every match. Obviously, they would have been limited to 3 full stacks at worlds due to the rules. Then again, a team that amazing may have been able to stack upside down stacks if they invent some sort of 135 lift system that uses plungers. 135's was for their can though.

It is worth noting that there was no noodle throwing allowed at Chezy Champs, which made things a bit less chaotic in the landfill.

I forgot about that rule change. Many teams such as 2056 and 1114 should have been consistent at 3 full stacks in the landfill but weren't due to noodles in the way. The rule change is good for productivity of landfill robots but stinks for teams like mine who had a human player that has been referred to as "a god of a human play" on CD and was good at throwing noodles. Haha. And 254's drive system wasn't really the best for going over noodles if I remember right...

Plus 254 made their first stack for each match in the landfill and was insanely fast but that was before noodles got in the way. 254 with the correct drive would have been an amazing landfill bot. Keep up the good work guys. I always love seeing 254 machines.

I'm not sure you could say definitely... There are a lot of very good teams out there. 254 I would say definitely comes out on top with well roundness for 2015, but there are some more specialist robots that would definitely give them a run for their money.

Congrats to both the finalist alliances, those were some fantastic matches!

The Skunks had another great time at Chezy Champs!!
thanks go to Team 3309 and team 841 who accepted our invitations to play in the finals.

They were great team mates and we hope to team up again next year.
The game was fun to play and certainly the changes made in the rules could have made the St. Louis finals different. It was a different game and seemed to play better for many teams. It was always played right to the end of every match as shown in the finals. Very exciting to see so many stacks go up. 15 stacks were up in the very final match.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and worked at the event!! You were all very gracious and a joy to work with and be around.
Thanks to all of the teams. Even though we were the only non-California team there, we felt right at home.

Hopefully we will be able to come back next year.... with bumpers....

Another top quality event by Team 254. Although our robot didn't perform as well as we hoped, our students and mentors had a good experience and we enjoyed the event. I know that it's no small undertaking to put on an event like this, and we appreciate all your hard work to make it happen.

I think 3476 might have had them out of the HP. In quals they put up 5 stacks, albeit one without a cap.

Code Orange, team 3476, had a blast working with 971 and 968 in elims, mad props to 971 for a complete redesign that was executed extremely well.
Thanks 254 for hosting one of our favorite events of the year, and the only one who has came close to fixing recycle rush..
