Not to brag, just so some people know what's going on.....

Team 57, The Leopards, is heading to Austin this coming Tuesday to meet the governor of Texas and demo the robot. Apparently, the small group of students will go to the House floor, where they'll be introduced by our local representative, and then our representative will present a proclamation of a resolution he proposed and got passed that recognizes our team for participating in FIRST. After that, the team will be whisked off to a 30-min demo for the gov. and state media followed by a Q&A session. Apparently the team is taking the robot, a goal, and the bridge. :^) Here's hoping we can come up with a siple enough explaination of the game, and we can manage to balance the bridge. Hopefully some good will come of this, like more funding for Texas teams, or at least some decent covering for FIRST....
