Downgrading our Software to work with the cRIO

Hi,
I'm currently a mentor but i was formerly the programmer of team 806. As the RoboRIO rolled out, we updated all our Driver stations and eclipse plugins to the latest version so we could program for it. Now we're stuck with 2 separate practice bots with cRIOs in them that our software won't communicate with. What can i do? Is there a place to download the older plugins?

Thanks a lot, in advance.

You can control cRIO based robots using the latest version of the 2015 driver station, you just have to select the 2014 protocol in the combobox on the setup tab.

As for programming the robot, that depends on what language you are using:
For Java, you need to use Netbeans with the old plugins, which can be installed from this update site the same way as last year.
For C++, your best bet is to use Thunder cRIO C++ Tools
For LabView, you can run 2015 code on the 4-slot cRIO (but not the 8-slot), or you can use the non-expiring LabView software from last year.

Does anyone know how we can access the non-expiring LabView software from last year? We downloaded the new LabView without saving previous year's software and now are unable to program the 8-slot cRIO. Thanks in advance.

Do you not have the DVD?

You can login to MyNI with the account you used to register last year's software and view your serial number.

A quick question, what language and what software were you originally using with the cRio?

I've got the proper NetBeans Plugins and sdk and such if you would like them, along with the proper cRio Images

There is a little more to it than this. We have been trying for a couple meetings to connect the 2015 control system to our 2014 robot and can't ever get Communications. Occasionally it will show a half green / half red light on the DS Comms readout..

You at least need to change the computer back to a static IP.

Half green, half red is full comms with the cRIO 2014 image. You shouldn't need a static IP on the PC if you are going through the DLink and it has the DHCP server running, you will if you're tethering direct or programmed the DLink some way other than this year's tool.
