I will soon begin working on a new video, it will be titled "FIRST fails" (this video will be entirely for non-serious, entertainment purposes only no hard feelings on anything please:( ).
What I need is input, what should i consider including:confused: ? I will use for example the Roomba incident of 2012 or one of the long can-burglar battles:o .

It's worth noting that even though we broke catastrophically, our wonderful partners 341 and 1640 helped us put to work the worlds biggest zipties, and fix the shooter well enough to win the whole competition (though with 341, we could've sat out and still won that year).

In 2012, a roomba was found under the bridge which prevented it from tipping in Curie QF 1-1. Video.

Vine fail compilations are a fairly common thing. It's not really a problem, and provides more instant recognition as to the content of the video, given how popular they are.

I'll see if I can find a video from it, but our team (1541) pushed an opponent robot from our feeder station to theirs; while they were attempting to push us.

To this day Matt Glennon who is a mentor for our team remembers it well. He was the field supervisor for Curie. When we talk about crazy things that have happened over the years he almost always brings it up. In the video..hes the volunteer walking just behind the Ref who goes out and retrieves it and takes his hat off.

There is this one video from 2013 where a team was loading on a robot, and he accidentally fell over the perimeter and the robot fell on him... he quickly jumps up and gives the "all good".

One of my favorite fails was against an MC. Were getting ready to play a match on Curie. There was a delay and the MC (I can't remember who) wanted to do a Wave. He was on our side of the field and said "On three. One Two Three...GO" All the robots started to move in Autonomous. I've never seen him move that fast to get off the field.

I forget which match, but there was one at IRI where team 1625, Winnovation, fired a ball right into the WiFi setup on the judges table, disabling every robot on the field :confused:

I think 3467 had an encoder problem in this match, causing them to spin in circles for most of auto. They are on blue

2013.

You can't really fault the scoring table. They are trained to start the match when they hear "1....2.....3......GO!" :D

One of my favorite videos is from 2014 where 1902 falls over with a ball in there claw and we basically take the ball from there claw and score like it was all a part of our strategy :D

This was an amazing autonomous mode by our opponent at Hatboro 2012.
We got crushed in Auton.

The "fail" is that they actually could not clear the balls and we had to replay the match.

469 having their way with 1114 (this is less of a fail and more of 469 dominating)

2012:

649's shooter wheel falls out

2073's turret falls off

610, 1241, and unknown third team attempt to triple balance on the coopertition bridge

469 flying off the bridge

2013:

1918 Falls off the pyramid in Curie finals, hits the bar on the way down.

Oh, there's another one I remembered. I'll find a video in a bit. During one of our 2014 offseason competitions, we were about to start a finals match, and as is tradition, were in the process of shaking hands with our opponents. While we crossed the field, 118 randomly fired a ball while the robots were disabled - and they made it.

I remember asking "Is that supposed to happen?"

This was definitely a scary match for our alliance. Luckily, we only needed 96 points to move on to the next round. Watch the right step on the Red side at around 2:20. Glad that there were no hard feelings because we went on the win the event.

I think 1676 has a video of a nice early game collision with MORT 11 in the first round of finals at Mount Olive 2013- took their battery out and set them back a whole match, but they won the competition anyway. I will have to see if I can find it....

That was actually caused by a miscalibration of our driver's Logitech Extreme 3D joystick. We found that for some reason, our code looked at the joystick input after auto ended [not intentionally], and when the stick calibrated hard-over, it caused the robot to spin wildly. We fixed this by having a line in our code prohibiting the robot telling the FMS it was ready when the joystick was not centered. This also alerted our drive team to the miscalibration, and did not do so quietly :D
