Recommendation for 3D printing companies
I have a need to get some items 3D printed. (most recent is this Rasberry PI case with a video display in it) I know there are places like 3D Hubs, MakerXYZ or Shapeways out there.
I'm looking on feedback / recommendations of a company that you've used to get items 3D printed. This print needs a build plate of 100mm x 168mm x 30mm so it's past the lower level printers. Feel free to email/pnote me. Thanks! |
Re: Recommendation for 3D printing companies
They have a FabLab in the library of my university. Prices at my school were originally $0.35/gram for ABS but last semester dropped to $0.07, not sure if a school subsidy or what. Ours has a variety of printers many some plenty large enough for the project size you have. Not sure how they vary by locations but there are shops all over the country. Seems the only one in Pennsylvania is just north of Philadelphia though.

"This print needs a build plate of 100mm x 168mm x 30mm so it's past the lower level printers. " Not sure where you got that but any reprap with a full 8"x8" build platform should handle that print. I have a 3D hub and I charge $4.71+ $0.24/cc including taxes and fees.

Thanks, I've contacted my local community college, they have a printer to try.
