BattleBots Finals Congrats (spoiler!)

I wanted to congratulate Team Bite Force and those in close coordination with them (ie Team 254) for winning an incredibly entertaining BattleBots series!

Your magnetic tread idea was ingenious and lifting mechanism worked flawlessly. Besides the design, Bite Force operators had some of the best driving skills I've ever seen in a robot competition! I honestly thought no one could beat Tombstone or Bronco (I would have been really interested to see a Bronco vs Biteforce match!) and was impressed with how much of an impact your armor could take from Tombstone's blade at full speed.

Hope to see Bite Force on display at a future FRC event (2016 champs?).

Congrats to Aptyx Designs on the win! Something to think about...

Paul Ventimiglia has won two FRC World Championships (190 in 2007, and 254 in 2014), two BattleBots World Championships (Brutality in 2009, and Bite Force in 2015), and a NASA Centennial Challenge (with Moonraker 2.0).

These are three of the most prestigious robotics competitions in the world, and winning all three of them (two of them twice) is an unrivaled accomplishment.

Pretty crazy when you put it that way! Congratulations to Paul and Aptyx!

And it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Paulie is the best! The best robot builder, a mild mannered, even keeled with ice water in his veins.

Thanks for pointing this out, Jared. What an unparalleled resume for Paul. Congratulations on yet another huge accomplishment. We're all excited to see what you tackle next!

And kudos to IFI and VEX for all of their Battlebot sponsorships...they 'get it'.

What my friend pointed out to me (whether it's manufactured drama or not), is that while some of the competitiors would get salty when they lost or cocky when they won, Paul was always calm, cool, collected and professional.

It made him easy to root for. Congrats to Paul and Bite Force on winning The Giant Nut!

Congratulations Paul and Aptyx!

After some of our team meetings a couple of us would watch through a few matches and then discuss who we though would make it on. We always enjoyed watching Bite Force compete, and I'd look for the matches where it competed for us to watch. I'm sad this week will be our last time doing so, but it's definitely what I've been hoping we'll get to see.
