Looks like something worth supporting on Kickstarter.

China has a lot of similar type transporters for 1/2 the price also.
Hopefully our team can bring back something like it or later when we attend the Japan Robotics Conference in November.

I love it when someone takes approximate numbers with metric units (10 kph, 12 km) and converts them to imperial units with decimals.

That's how we got 98.6 degrees as body temp. It was a conversion from 37 C.

Back on topic, that looks really cool.

I saw someone riding one of these yesterday, which is kind of the same idea, but a little scarier IMO.

Actually, I think it was a Hyperwalk, because it had lights on the the front. The person was going pretty fast (even though it was in the middle of a crowded train station), so I didn't have time to see it that closely.

I like things with one wheel instead of two, so this is my go-to segway type of transportation module.

There aren't a lot of places in the US that are dense enough to make even cycling an efficient mode of transport, so I'm skeptical that these rolling platforms will ever catch on here. They'd be a load of fun to use in a large office building though.

These devices aren't really special people buy them from China and price them much higher.
