A quick update on the events. Mount Olive is three slots from filling up, and Hatboro-Horsham is not far behind with six slots left. A couple of teams have dropped their registrations for events later in the season to secure one of the few remaining chances to compete at a Week 1 MAR event.

Anyway, here are some updated registration numbers:

Congrats to the first MAR rookie to register this year, Team 5895, Peddie School Robotics out of Hightstown, NJ, who registered for Hatboro-Horsham. Does anyone know how many rookies we should expect this year?

There were a few other people on the "rookie" MAR mailing list - but some do spring out of the woodwork without contacting MAR.

MAR had 13, 5, and 9 true rookies over the last 3 years. From 2012-2015 MAR had 99, 109, 110, and 121 teams. So odds are somewhere in the mid-high single digits for rookies, and somewhere between 120 and 130 teams this year.

We had 8 rookies registered at this date last year, and 100 teams registered in total - so we're off the pace from last year.

357 wont be competing in MAR this year. Their last event as an FRC team is Duel on the Delaware. They will only be doing Vex as of this season.

It appears to be for a mix of reasons including quite a few mentors retiring from FIRST.

Delaware has grown from 4 to 5 teams with Razor Steel Robotics (5938) joining us at Seneca. 5938, like Palindrome (4954), is a 4H team, and they appear to be working together.

I am sorry to hear about 357. They are a good team and it's a shame to see them go.
