NX Student Licence
Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows a method for a student to acquire a student licence or trial of NX? One of my college classes uses NX as the primary CAD/CAE program, and it would be nice if I didnt have to do all the assignments on campus for it. Thanks in advance.

Re: NX Student Licence
Most universities have a free site license for CAD/CAM, especially if it is used in conjunction with a class. Typically you get the install instructions and any license keys from someone at your university (each university generally has its own license key and install). Someone that works in the library will usually know how to get you access to all the free software you are entitled to as a student. In some cases there is a separate IT department that handles this, but I have found the library knows who to contact.
Keep in mind you will likely get other software for free while you are an engineering student. I always had a free copy of one or more CAD programs and either MATLAB or Mathmatica at every engineering school I attended. -matto- |
Re: NX Student Licence
Check with your engineering department staff as well - maybe call or email the office and see if they can help you. A lot of times I think they assume you already know where to get the software or are unaware themselves. If anything, they get help point you in the right direction.
If not, the Siemens NX student edition software is available for purchase at $120 based on a Google search. |
