One squeaky duck toy = a squeaky duck toy

Dozens of squeaky duck toys = the Visigoths descending on Rome

Well, guess I better go start figuring out how to play "Duck, Duck, Goose" with a robot now.

Oh, and all y'all complaining about the lack of contact last year, there IS contact in that game. Just not aggressive contact!

Other than the mishap this previous year I don't think FIRST has every given away a game piece like this ever.

Re: [FRC Blog] Duck Vine

My biggest concern if that is a game piece is not robot related at all... It's how annoying that sound is going to be all year.

Re: [FRC Blog] Duck Vine

I am torn between this being the most awesome game piece ever, because we could squeak them nonstop, and this being the most terrible game piece ever, because we could squeak them nonstop...

Re: [FRC Blog] Duck Vine

We're missing the real challenge: manipulate this "gamepiece" without breaking the noisemaker rule!

And you thought this year required delicate handling... :D

Actually, on further reflection...

It's a witch game. Water may be involved in some way, as might wood, but it's definitely a witch game.

And the inspectors will need to use their biggest scales.

But the opposite of water is space.

Space Game Confirmed

Also, its fun to see that a duck vine translates to "Guess the 2016 game!" for everyone.

It's not that it's a duck vine. It's who posted it.

And some of us are here just to have fun--and see how many people actually think we're serious.

Ducks... as in Duck, North Carolina. North Carolina being the Old North State. North of the US is Canada. Canada produced the Canadarm, a robotic arm which is on the Space Shuttle. KUKA robotics also produces robotic arms, one of which can be seen here playing ping pong against world renowned player Timo Boll. He was born on March 8, 1981, which was also the date of an accident at the Tsuruga Nuclear Power Plant in Japan which led to the spill of thousands of gallons of radioactive wastewater. Japan also had a nuclear incident because of the 2011 Tohuko earthquake and tsunami. Natural Disasters were the center of the 2013 FLL challenge, Natures Fury. In 2013 the FRC challenge was ultimate ascent, in which we had to throw frisbees and climb pyramids. The Pyramids of Giza are the most famous pyramids, and the Great Pyramid of Giza housed Khufu, of which the only depiction is a Ivory Figurine. Ivory is generally gathered from Elephants. One of the most iconic loves of elephants are peanuts. Hundreds of uses for peanuts were found by George Washington Carver, for whom we have named a division. The first pick for Playoffs in the Carver division was team 1717, D'Penguineers. Penguins are one of the only flightless birds. However, they were depicted as flying by the BBC in 2008 as an April Fools joke. One of the BBC's most famous pranks however was their 1957 Spaghetti Tree prank.
In conclusion we will have a spaghetti game, or at least Frank likes spaghetti.

The logic: Infallible.
