How old is your oldest robot

This is meaning a working/ can be fixed easily robot... Ours is 2014 unfortunately, but it is kept in tip top shape. But what is the oldest robot your team has. If you want, add a picture to show how well kept it is.

2012 here on Citrus Circuits as well as all later robots as well.

I still can see scrap metal around from when I was a team member and know what part it was for when I rummage through our scrap bins.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

Our oldest robot in existance is from 1992 but it is in the possession of FIRST at FIRST place. Until recently we had the main body of our 1993 robot around but a couple of years ago we scrapped all our old robots. Our 2012 robot was kept around as a demo bot.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

2001, our first year. We're really running out of space to keep them. I don't want to scrap them though. Perhaps I can devise a way to hang them from the ceiling of the school gymnasium or something. I'm not particularly fond of this new gigantic 6-foot tall one from 2015 sitting on our lab floor. It takes up way too much space.

2012 is still running, but we have superstructure parts from as far back as 2009.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

Oldest Working: 2011 (barely)
Oldest "Shell": 2003 (Bare chassis, wheels still intact)

I've tried to keep pressure on our team to NOT disassemble our old robots. We had our 2006 robot running until a few years ago when we were told to take it apart to salvage parts from it (though we never reused any of the parts from it). Ironically, the only thing wrong with that robot when we took it apart was that we couldn't find any usable game pieces for it. It was a shame too, cause it was a very nice demo robot.

That said, we are in the process of getting our 2007 robot working again. A few years back we converted it to a rideable "chair-bot" but after some use we broke a few of the the gears on the custom shifter mechanism in one of the gearboxes. We're working on adapting a pair of newer off the shelf gearboxs to drive it instead.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

2012 is mechanically sound however we stripped the cRios off to use on other bots. We started replacing the control system with a Sasquatch controller by RobotOpen this past summer however, as an offseason project.

2013 has all the control system elements working, as well as our shooter, but our climber is so abused it probably isn't a good idea to run it.

2014 works, but barely, after Aerial Assault had its way with our bot. Some of our intake angling versa planetary gearboxes are beat up and barely respond.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

Our 2007 robot Johnny 5 is the oldest one that Team 1676 still has running, but it is basically just its chassis now. It can take a beating, so we use it as a defensive bot against each year's new robot during driver training. Our 2008 robot Landshark is still fully functional.

In all, we have disassembled our 2005, 2006, 2009, and 2011 robots, but have kept our 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 ones. But, room is running out. Luckily we have room in two schools to spread them out between.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

2013 is our oldest one. We recycle parts once the next season begins, but we kept Electra, our best performing robot in recent years. It was the first year we made Worlds since our rookie year (2009). We use it as a demo bot now.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

For us, it's our 2009 robot "Mu"

The team stripped off the cRio and put the old IFI controller on it, but it still runs - it was our staple demo robot for several years. Today, our 2013 frisbee robot "Whizbee" is the oldest one we actively use for demos, because robots that shoot frisbees are cool.

Anthony Galea 17-09-2015 08:14

Re: How old is your oldest robot

Our 2014 robot is the oldest thing that still resembles a robot. I think we still have the electronics board put together, the shooter is still together, just the pneumatics components (i.e. compressor, tubing, tanks, pressure switch, etc.) have been relocated to the 2015 robot, along with some bearings. We also disassembled our intake for parts. I am hoping we can either restore the 2014 robot or build a new 2014 robot for demo purposes.

Our 2015 robot, for what it is being used for right now (demoing), is still working. However, if we go to an offseason event (still uncertain), we will have to make some repairs to it. (Side note: To anyone who thinks that their 2015 robot is not 'cool' enough to demo to kids or adults, it is. It isn't nearly as cool as a 2012-2014 robot to show off, but if you're enthusiastic (or pretend to be) about what your robot is doing, people will follow suit and also be enthusiastic. And I'm saying this as someone who didn't like RR at all)

Ummm.... Sadly it's our 2015 bot. We scraped all our others bots over the past couple years but still have 2014's shell. We are in the process of turning it into a t-shirt canon for school sporting events.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

We still have our robot from our rookie year which was 2005, it's made of tubes from a screen enclosure. We use it as a coat rack because it doesn't run anymore.

Our oldest running is from 2006 and then we have the shell of 2013 that sits in the corner of our CNC room.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

We have all 10 (2006 - 2015) of our robots running. Over the summer we had a ten year reunion with all of them driving around.

I know 190 still has their 1992 robot in running condition and pretty sure their 1995 is somewhere.

ebmonon36 17-09-2015 09:30

Re: How old is your oldest robot

Our oldest is our first robot that is semi-functioning, 2003. It is complete except for the solenoids for the pneumatics.

Others that are still functional (might need to reinstall a victor or two) are 2004, 2006, 2007, 2013, 2014, 2015.

We still have the main structures assembled in robot form for 2005, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

2008 and 2012 were both dismantled. One was for safety reasons, the other...well we don't talk about it.

Our oldest robot is our rookie (wooden) robot from 1998. A student on the team last year got the robot driving, although the manipulator didn't function. We still have every robot the team has ever made. The biggest change we have made to any bot is scrap the electronics for use.

For us, it's 2010... Although I'm stretching the definition of "working" - it's a mecanum not, and one of the wheels fell off last year. And by fall off, I mean the entire wheel raider we built to get over the bumps broke into pieces. Fortunately, the student who built that drive train has returned as a mentor... :),

1923's 2009 & 2011 robots (our gold-medalists) are shells in storage/will be displayed in our new space this upcoming year. We'll be adding 2015 to that display as well but will likely not keep MKI: X functional.

Our 2013 robot, RoBART, is still our demo machine. A little shaky, but the frisbees are always a crowd pleaser.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

Oldest working: 2013 (we took the climber off, but it still throws frisbees)
Oldest with all its features still intact: 2014

Robots where I can (definitely) still point out pieces of it: 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, and a different team's 2012.

For 45, the 1992 robot is the oldest bot we still driving and functional.

Functional
  • 1992
  • 1996
  • 1998
  • 2004
  • 2008
  • 2009
  • 2011
  • 2012
  • 2013
  • 2014
  • 2015

Many of the robots not on the list are still relatively mechanically intact but lack electronics.

On 461 we only have our 2012, 2014, and 2015 robots functioning.

Our 2014 robot was taken apart a while ago, but oddly enough our 2013 is in almost driveable state

Re: How old is your oldest robot

2667 still has our original 2008 robot in a functional state. Still running the IFI control system, too. Sadly it's not a particularly interesting robot-- it has an oak shell designed to look like a shopping cart and pretty much just drives around. That being said, I'm pretty sure we could drive it off a cliff and it would be fine.

JeremyLansing 17-09-2015 16:08

Re: How old is your oldest robot

Our oldest robot that is still functional is from 2003, we get it out sometimes for driver practice. We also have our 1995 robot minus the electronics. We actually have pretty much all of our old robots mostly intact and scattered in buildings across the UW-Platteville campus, mostly in Engineering Hall. The only one I know for sure is not around is our 2014 robot, which was taken apart for parts.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

2012: Our Rebound Rumble 'bot, T1G3R, was disassembled within a few months. I have managed to find a few intact recognizable pieces as we moved to our new build space, that are going in a historical shadowbox.
2013: We still have the lower frame and frisbee shooter. We took off the drive and climber, and added some push-cart wheels. We used it as a demo in the spring; not sure if anything was stripped since then. The hooks are going in the shadow box, too.
2014: We disassembled the ball pickup and kicker, though the hammer and the side panels are going in the shadow box. We still have the (mecanum) chassis that we keep around in case we ever decide we want a mecanum for prototype.
2015: We're still using one for demos; I'm about 75% sure it's the competition robot. The practice 'bot was mostly disassembled, but we'll probably put the KoP drive chassis back together before build season for prototyping. The pickup rake is going in the shadow box, and we may use the cover plate from the control board as the face plate.

Non-competition: Our air cannon was begun in 2012, and the current version still has the same nanotube gearbox and chains, tanks, and probably the drive CIMs and a few fittings, but the rest of it has all been swapped out at least once.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

Our oldest working robot is our 2010 robot, Control Z, which we now use as a t-shirt and small football cannon for football, volleyball, hockey games, etc. We now call it Control Y but we will be getting rid of it hopefully soon after we build a much newer and better bot for these events.

Do you still have the 2003 Ball Drive?*

That one is very cool. It was the topic of the earliest conversation I can recall having with Andy Baker. The team had it stashed behind the hockey wall in the back of their pit, so it wouldn't confuse the inspectors.

Currently, the oldest robot that is fully intact is our 2014 robot. Our 2012 robot is sitting on the cart lacking turret code and mecanum wheels. We still have the frame for our 2010 robot, which we disassembled in 2014.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

1610 robots in the following order and condition...
(also some information on former FRC team 616's robots)

2005...still intact, getting a C Rio and pnuematics redone.
2006...Still intact and running except no Autonomous.
2007...Taken apart and frame used for our current robot cart
(we decided to take it apart mainly because our 2011
robot was almost a carbon copy of it with a mini bot
added)
2008...RIP
2009...(no robot built that year)
2010...Taken apart. currently the frame and wheels are used
as a prototyping platform.
2011...still intact, currently not running.
2012...Upper section removed (shooter and ball pick up)
Lower drive section (frame, drive system and
electronics still intact. We kept that as its our only
8 wheel drive robot system.
2013...still intact, nearly running.
2014...still intact and running.
2015...mostly intact as of this writing, but due to be taken
apart (mostly because it was such a crappy robot and
we need some of the parts for a better built off season
robot.

Also...We are sorta related to nearby former team 616. Although 616
hasn't been around since 2006 we know where their former
robots are kept and plan on acquiring them in the future.

2001...in pieces.
2002...in pieces.
2003...almost completely intact, not running.
2004...still intact, not running.
2005...still intact, not running

Re: How old is your oldest robot

Our 2012 robot was up and everything was mechanically working (No control system) early last year. We took it apart and kept the chassis in tact. We decided to take the chassis apart this year due to how much space it took up. We made it one of our "Freshman Challenges" to take it apart and they finished most of it today.

Its sad to see Sasha go even if I never did see him working. He was our best robot to date getting all the way up to quaterfinals at the NYC regional and he will be misssed.

Here is the last pic of him alive.

http://i.imgur.com/MGiHyrn.jpg?1

Now we are left with only our 2015 competiton bot which doesnt really work. We are building an offseason bot with the chassi of our 2014 robot in a few weeks and it is going to be much more polished then anything we have ever done.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

From what I remember, we have robots from 1996 to 2015 (some given to mentors). Our 1997 robot is in display at FIRST headquarters. We used our 2006 robot for demos up until 2013, we retired it due to it literally falling apart. Most of our robots still have electronics, including 2003, 2006, 2009, and 2011 (we are going to try and revive 2003). We are currently in a tough position, after losing all of our space in Motorola, we are able to store our old robots in an empty warehouse owned by one of our sponsors. Currently, our 2012, 2013, and 2014 (2012 is missing cRIO and 2013/2014 are RTR) are inside of our sipping crate, yes, a shipping crate, along with all of our other tools and possessions. We are running out of space, sharing a small wood shop with our local high school district's learning center doesn't allow us to keep anything bigger than a battery box and our mechanical/electrical tool chests inside the shop (let's just say it is quite a struggle to build a robot when you have to build out of a jam-packed crate).

Our 2000 bot is still intact and maybe running. It has sat in a cabinet for many many years. Our oldest regularly running robot is our t-shirt shooter that was built in 2008. All our robots from 2012 onward are active as well as a few others.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

Our shop is littered with the half-devoured carcasses of old robots. Most of them haven't been used in years so I have no idea if they actually work. Many of them are missing electronic or pneumatic parts, but we can supplement this by using our "briefcase" robot (robot in a box) to control them. There may be other robots around the shop that I haven't listed that are hiding away in the labyrinth that is our shop. There is also a small robot from before bumpers or safety lights that I don't know what year it was for (it was the year of the extending tape measure for those of you who remember that far back).
  • 2000-2002: ???
  • 2003: we have the control panel, but no robot
  • 2004-2008: ???
  • 2009: fully assembled, has all parts to my knowledge, hasn't been used in 5 years
  • 2010: just a chassis stripped of all electronics and manipulators
  • 2011: may be missing some electronics but otherwise fully assembled, will probably run using briefcase
  • 2012: manipulator and chassis both work but they are detached from each other, needs briefcase to run, chassis has been repurposed as demo bot
  • 2013: manipulator and chassis both work but they are detached from each other, chassis runs under own power but manipulator needs briefcase
  • 2014: works as well as it did in competition (not very well)
  • 2015: works well, has all parts

??? means it may be hiding somewhere, completely disassembled, or in parts I don't recognize.

Before 2014, we completely dismantled our robots to reuse parts. However, in 2014, we realized the value of having old robots, especially for demonstrations and driver practice. Now we have our 2014 robot in (mostly) working condition as well as our 2015 robot.

I was hoping to hear that our 1992 robot was still around, but upon asking learned that it was in scraps by 1994.

Our oldest robot still around is the 1995 robot. The oldest robot of ours that could be made to work today would probably be our 2000 national finalist robot.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

1999 through 2002: completely scrapped, most identifiable components have since walked off.

2002: just an empty hull, no moving parts left. select components hung on wall as "NEVER AGAIN" reminders.

2003: scrapped with great personal prejudice, no identifiable components left.

2004: converted to chairbot, ran away with alumnus.

2005: currently in possession of alumnus-turned-head-mentor, he keeps it in pristine condition for demos.

2006: scrapped, all parts still identifiable in stock.

2007: mechanisms intact, electronics stripped.

2008: converted to chairbot (video here) by yours truly, still in my possession.

2009: mechanisms intact, electronics stripped.

2010: scrapped with great personal prejudice. select components hung on wall as "NEVER AGAIN" reminders.

2011: all systems intact, only missing cRIO. No idea why there's so much of this one left, because there are a few "NEVER AGAIN" opportunities here as well.

2012, 2013, 2014: fully functional, could use a tune-up.

2015: good to go for Kettering Kickoff.

1982... wait... does our Hero 1 robot count? If it is FRC robot... 2015 mostly still works... when parts get in it will be fully functional for WMRI.

2013 is all there but needs new code and we want to switch to a Robo Rio... all the others are in various states. Even our practice bot from last year looks like we left it overnight in a bad neighborhood. No wheels, stripped to bare frame, arm off, etc.

Our 2003 robot is still actively used, primarily as a testing/demonstration base for the past two FRC control system changes (2009 & 2015). We still have the complete original control system, too.

We have most other year's still operational in their original configurations:
2004, 2005, 2008 thru 2015. Most of the older robots all served in demonstrations for many years.

The regularly active robots are 2003 (testbed/demo), 2010 (rookie loaner, bring students to work days, SBPLI golf fundraisers), and 2012 (mostly throws candy during Homecoming parades or Safe Halloween, but also for the annual middle school science fair, and assisted living outreach).

A couple of years we just kept the unique manipulator: 2006 shooter, 2007 articulated arm.
The 2007 base permanently went to a rookie team to help them get started.

Our earliest robots had the electronics removed for later robots, but the mechanical shells are still around.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

1197 has the shells of '11 and '12 but those would take some effort to get working. '13 has a few parts around but that one we just kind of didn't want to see again once we had TrogTOR ('14) running--which it still is. '15 should still be operational, we've got a postseason next weekend.

330 on the other hand... '04 and later, with some duplicates, are stored in one area. Though as I recall they are often scavenged for various parts (like control systems).

Re: How old is your oldest robot

We have a bot from 2011. However it no longer has the mechanisms on it. It has been repurposed to launch t-shirts. It still has the original chassis including the frame, wheels, gearboxes, and motors. However, everything else has changed. We did have a 2012 chassis for testing purposes but it has been disassembled. The 2013 robot from the team that our team spawned from still exists and is in working order but is under the ownership of the school that our old team was apart of. Our 2014 bot is still assembled but we have taken some electronics from it so it's not functional at the moment. It would be easy to repair, however. So I guess our oldest functional robot is from 2015.

Both of 4901's robots are intact. Sandstorm I isn't operable, last I checked, but it still looks like it did at Championship and SCRIW.

Good thing too--we got the opportunity to display a robot at the South Carolina State Fair in the 4-H booth, which happens to overlap with SCRIW (where Sandstorm II will be competing). If Sandstorm I was gone, we wouldn't be able to take on this opportunity!

2013 - On it's last leg performance-wise because it's in rough shape, but still perfectly functional (for now) since we use it for parades and demos.
2014 - Functional but it isn't used as much.
2015 - Still up and running since we have more off-season events to go to.

I'm pretty sure our 2013 robot is somewhere and is in mostly working condition, it kind of didn't work very well though. 2010 technically also is still around but it's a T-Shirt cannon now.

2014 is especially active, we use it for demos. 2015 is pretty broken as of now, but we're going to an Off Season event soon so we'll probably end up fixing it. Probably.

20's oldest working machine is our 2006 robot (I believe. We just did a bunch of restoration work so that our 2010 and 2006 robots function again).

20's oldest robot is our 1992 robot, which we often display at our pits at competitions. If you're ever at an event with us, come check it out, it's really cool to see.

5254's oldest working machine is our... um... 2015 robot.

1073 has their 2012 robot sitting on a cart currently... It would only drive if it had wheels, which then makes our 2014 our oldest fully-functioning robot. Our 2010 robot was assembled until last year, but I think the frame is still floating around in the shop somewhere...

Re: How old is your oldest robot

330 has every robot since 2004 in a storage area above the robot room. 2002 and 2003 are believed to still be in the old robot room at the Redondo Beach power plant.
2004 needs to have the controller reconnected.
2005 (our World Champion) runs, but is missing a few parts.
2006 is just a frame with one or random two motors.
2007 is currently being refurbished. (It worked before, but had some issues)
2008 works, but needs some wheels.
2009 has been stripped of most of its electronics.
2010-2012 have had some components transferred to practice robots, but are mostly complete.
2012 is downstairs to marvel at, it just needs some new belts on the shooter.
2013 has been stripped of everything that could be reused.
2014 is being used as a defense bot, but may be replaced by 2007.
2015 had a bit of water damage after the roof leaked (:ahh:), but still has everything except for the RoboRio.
2016 is in a giant plastic bag.

We've had practice robots every year since 2007, but their components are transferred to the next years practice robot or used as spares.

We plan to refurbish 2005 and 2008 during off season. (luckily, we still have a massive trackball that we can use to demo)

Re: How old is your oldest robot

We have most of our old robots in the shop or in a shed outside the school. Although most of them haven't run in years... So I can't say for sure which ones would still work if we tried to get them to. 2005 and prior are badly disassembled, as well as 2007 and unfortunately 2014. If we tried, we may be able to get some of them back in working condition. The only relatively old robots I have seen work recently are 2013 and 2011.

2006, from back when TechFire was named something completely different (BearBotics I think). The team shut down for two years after that before it was rebooted by completely new people at a new organization (it really should have been a rookie team). Somehow this robot has survived.

All of our 21 robots but two can be retrieved from storage in a day or two. 1996 was mostly plywood and we didn't think to keep it. Our 1997 robot is on display at First HQ. It is the one that goes up to the ceiling (actually can climb over 15 ft.). It does not have 111 on the side as that was before permanent team numbers were assigned. 2006 is in need of some TLC as we have used for demos for years. 2013 was tuned up last night for a demo coming up.

We barely have storage space for a single season, so our oldest robot was built in 2016.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

Our oldest robot is from 2005, and I believe that it is in near working order. I know we ran it a year or two ago.

We no longer have 2006 (scrapped because it was pretty much gutted and wasn't particularly good in the first place) or 2010 (I don't want to talk about it) but other than that we have the rest of our robots from 2005 on, and I think we could get them all into working order within an afternoon.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

Our latest bot is 2016, everything else has been scrapped for spare parts. We kept our 2014 bot around for a while because after the season we painted it and made it look like Gary the snail. While it was a fun show bot it wasn't our best creation and broke down constantly so we decided it was best to scrap it.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

Most of our previous year robots are in pieces, but I assume they could be reassembled and made to work (maybe). We still have our rookie 2007 robot (highest rookie seed [2nd] and Rookie All-Star award winner in Boston), and our 2015 robot is still intact.

1058's 2003 (rookie year) frame has been repurposed into a couch robot for demos. 2008 is the oldest one mechanically intact, 2010 is the oldest functional one.

229 uses 2013 for demos, but I believe there are older ones in a storage space.

228's 2012 robot is the only one that is still together and fully functional. Finished dismantiling the 2013 and 2015 robots at the beginning of this build season. I'm hoping we'll keep the 2016 robot together for awhile - it's really easy to transport and it's got some cooler features for demos and stuff.

We have 2015 that just needs the Rio and a couple Jags put on and would be ready within a day if we needed to compete. We have some parts left from 2014 but this is basically the first year we have used all new parts.

1102 still has my 2010 FTC robot running.

4901 has Sandstorm I and it still can run. It would just have to be fixed. (2014) Then I think we will be keeping this year's model Sandstorm III around for quite some time.

I'm going to wait for clarification on what "completely repurposed our robot" means before frowning too hard at you. If you removed unmodified commercially available components and reused them this year, that's fine. But if you actually turned last year's robot into the one you're competing with this year, or if you are just reusing fabricated assemblies from the old robot, that's a problem.

I have the 2002 Einstein Division Winner/ Championship Finalist alliance captain team's robot in somewhat OK, though slightly rusty condition (barn find?). I would need new drill motors to get it working.
2004 was the team's (311) last year, and their 2004 robot has been rebuilt with a cRio by the mentor of 871 who was a member of 311 in 2004.

I've also heard rumors that one or two of the very very early BeachBots (or pre-BeachBots) (robots, not team members) are or were in storage at a sponsor's facility. It's been a while since I heard those rumors, though... the robots are older than you (no, I'm not kidding--the robots in question were built in the late 1990s) and wouldn't have their control systems (FIRST policy at the time was to send the systems back every year).

2410's oldest running robot is from Breakaway, 2010. She's been gutted and had her electrical components replaced, but mechanically she's still the same. After that, the rebuild for 2013 is functional (I personally more or less destroyed the robot from the actual season during the Razorback regional that year...I drove a bit aggressively), and I think the frame of our 2012 robot is still around somewhere...

We mainly used the metal, the pulleys, belts, all of the electronics...basically everything BUT our fabricated parts. Those are on our trophy shelf commemorating our rookie year. We wouldn't have done anywhere as well as we did this year if we just used our old robot.

Same here.

We probably won't have to salvage this year's robot, I hope. It really is a great bot. The main reason that we've taken apart our old robots is space. And parts. We've worked out of a closet up until this year, when we were able to get half of a classroom as a shop.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

I believe our 2013 robot is still sitting somewhere untouched, but our 2014 bot is the oldest one we have which is still in driving condition (and the only one other than our current robot and its test clone). We keep it around for outreach purposes, although last I checked our pneumatics need to be fixed for it to return to peak condition.

Repairing it during preseason this year (after we totaled a number of parts on the thing due to tough defense and a powerful shooter) actually made for a great project to get people engaged on the team and sharpen skills for build season.

Re: How old is your oldest robot

We don't keep most of our robots. Most of the parts are recycled for the next year...

But one of the few ones that have stayed ever since was our very first robot, Bob. He's in our Awards Room, so we haven't operated the robot in YEARS. I'm sure it's still working though, underneath all the collected dust.

If you don't know of the story, the Fembots built Bob at Silicon Valley Regional back in 2001. The Fembots arrived with materials and the Kit of Parts and were able to build the robot with the help of several other teams -- and they built it in 6 hours!

41 still has our 2008 robot working and nearly fully functional. I believe the IR board needs to be reflashed (have the dump somewhere), and one of the fisher price gearboxes needs to be replaced. We used it last year in a demo.

Here is a look at the control system mentioned earlier in this thread...
That little gold box in the second picture is the Tekin speed controllers we had to use before IFI came along with the 883. It is about 1 x 2" and would smoke at about 20 amps.
We used drill batteries to power the drive system in those robots because we used actual drills to drive the wheels as you can see in picture 3. Oh, and we didn't have any way to distribute power, no PDP, no breaker panel.
These pictures were taken during LRI training this year.

Yeah. It looks like this these days. A few days of serious work and it can be operational again. We would need to find a couple of screamers.........

135 has every robot since 1998. Most still have all of the parts on them but 2015 is the only one that we still use (due to the control systems on older robots and the fact that some of them are broken from being used at competition). Our coach that started the team does not like to take apart the robots so we try not to remove anything from them. It's very interesting to look at a wooden robot that's almost 20 years old.
