As we were fond of saying on my old team, there are no (interpersonal) problems that cannot be solved by either a cage match or hugging it out.

Actually... The OC and AZ North regionals are "replacement" regionals. Orange County replaces Inland Empire; Arizona North replaces Arizona East.

Trust me, taking spots away from the CA/AZ/NV area--or threatening to--is a really great way to get a horde of annoyed CA/AZ/NV teams writing emails and taking other necessary action until they get a replacement event (or keep the threatened event). About like if someone were to suggest that, oh, I don't know, the Duluth Regional (but not the Lake Superior Regional--I'm not THAT mean!) were to disappear from your great state of Minnesota, perhaps.

But where would I go to watch week 1 action in person where there's only one team from my district?

Read the rest: I only "suggested removing" one of the two regionals (Northern Lights, I messed up the name) in that location. I'll let y'all figure out how in-demand the other will be...

Ahh, I didn't realize they were replacements for previously existing regionals... that's definitely good to know!

And yes, closing any one of our regionals here would be a significant issue, even if we had a replacement, I'm guessing!
