[OCCRA]: Allowed Sprockets and Chains
 

Several years ago, OCCRA dropped the requirement to only use the kit's #35 sprockets and we allowed teams to use any sprockets they wanted (as long as they were less than $90) We have not restricted the type or size of chain since then but overlooked the fact that Appendix B still states that: "Any chain or links other than #35 roller chain & links are not allowed."

This is an oversight on the part of the Game & Kit Committee and they have decided to remove this statement from Appendix B effective immediately. We have not enforced this chain restriction in recent years and it will be removed from future rules versions. If your team wishes to use #25 chain and sprockets, drive belts, or any other mechanical drive mechanism that is less than $90 and readily available to all teams, it will be legal.
