I went to DragonCon to try and find out from the founders and men in charge, but they didn't know yet about whether they will allow open submissions or hold a tryout. I've got a group of friends who want to do this with me.

From what I've heard it will not be open signup...there will just be more teams than last year, pulled from a slightly expanded pool.

Official details are yet to be released though.

That sentence seems to be saying two conflicting things, to me.
