your favorite music and tipps about good new rock music
Hey everybody!
I guess this was discussed several hundred times already in here, but I'm totally bored and looking for some good music to listen to. I especially like a lot of Rock and some Metal, but if it's good I listen to all kinds of music, so ust write a little about what music you like, and be specific (artist, album, song, etc.) Please make my life a little more pleasant by helpin' me out musicwise! ;-) So long, Phil |
You want me to write all of it out?!
Sorry, no can do, but I can do this: My Most Recent Playlist Just take a look at that... :D |
Click the graphic in my signature.
There are a few of mp3's on my website from CD's that I like. I usually change them every week or so, but I've gotten lazy lately. |

---------------- Ok everyone, no offense, but the bands you've listed are so predictable. Most of those are 'descent' bands, but you can turn on a radio and hear those exact bands, played back to back, over and over and over... I'm not sure if this is what Phil wants, but could you at least try and list some bands that you won't see when you turn on TRL? Again, no offense to anyone. It's just my opinion. |

kewl...
Hey J188 and everybody else: It's totally cool to list old songs, I listen to a lot of old rock (as in "really old"), so just keep 'em coming...
I found some pretty good ones in there, thx to everybody for helpin' out! Fotoplasma: You're kind of right, a lot of that is on the radio and many of the stuff listed i already knew, but i mean it's fine, better to hear about somehting multiple times than not at all. ;-) But yeah, stuff that's not on the radio and not that popular is totally cool, I have better chances to not know it already then, so yeah, whatever... :-)) So long guys, Phil |
whoa!
Hmmm, Fotoplasma?!? I just took a closer look at your playlist. Your music taste is all over the place, huh? I like that...
Most of the stuff on your list is pretty good, at least from what i already knew and what i listened to... Wanna specify a little bit, which ones your very favorites in rock and metal are??? So long, Phil |

Beatles? Stones? Pink Floyd? Dylan? Well, anyway, I'm listening to Radiohead right now (Kid A). As for some rather obscure music, how about Mindless Self Indulgence, Aphex Twin, Kid 606, Underworld... umm... Snake River Conspiracy, Social Distortion... If you could nail down some favored genres, I could be more specific, those artists are rather mixed... |

Like the d00d, my music tastes are all over the place. However, I am too lazy to upload my playlist anywhere.
New stuff: Carbon Leaf. Music here. I saw them in concert at teh Herndon Festival, and talked to teh lead singer afterwards. He incourages you all to download and share their songs. Another artist that supports Napster. ^_^ One reason they have yet to sign with a major label. So go listen to it. I recommend Toy Soldiers and Mary Mac. You may have heard The Boxer on teh radio on on tv. (They played the American Music Awards) They are teh r0x. Wetzel ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ KAIYUT-LIT-L-LOT-LIT-L-LOTL-LEETLE-UM |

I love music
Although I'm much older than those posting above, I like music too. I especially take pride in the fact that my 5 year old has no idea who Brittney Spears is and her favorite band is the Talking Heads.
This following is an actual conversation in our mini-van: me to my 2 older girls (5 and 2-1/2): ... "what do you want to hear" 5 year old: ... "Talking Heads!!" 2 1/2 year old: ... "Soak up the Sun" (newest by Cheryl Crow) me: ... "no, we just played that... what else?" 5 year old: ... "Springsteen!!" 2 1/2 year old: ... "Who's that girl?" (by Eurythmics) Needless to say, they are getting exposed to some decent music. Here are some of my favorite albums: U2 - Actung Baby Bruce Springsteen - Tunnel of Love Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense Van Halen - Van Halen AC/DC - Back in Black New Order - Substance Bob Marley - Legend Depeche Mode - Violator The Cure - Disentegration Jane's Addiction - Ritual De Lo Habitual Anita Baker - Rapture Rolling Stones - (too many to name) Frank Sinatra - Reprise Stevie Wonder - Original Musiquarium Of course, all of this stuff is old. But, this works for me. Andy B. |
Yeah Mr. Oizo!! That video rocks! (and so does the Quake 3 model :D )
Btw if you like BEATS, check out Chemical Brothers. "Come With Me", "Galaxy Bounce", and "Denmark" are off the top of my head, but there are a whole bunch. |

I didn't really like Come With Me, I prefer the older, acidic beats... |
