Uhm...weedie sent me the 4.8 meg pic. It's temporarily located at: http://evulish.linux-site.net/jasci/ym.jpg
It will probably be online for the next 2 hours. Get it quickly :) (My upstream is only 120 kbps so you won't be getting it _too_ quickly) (Man do I need a stable hosting solution...only one more year untill I'm at college on a nice college connection!) |
thanks
edit* it may take 2 hours to load |
Wow,
I can't believe the explosion of posts today, I thought this thread was dead. Anywho... I picked up the issue last Sunday, Aug 4th, I was so excited, made copies... showed it to everyone... and so on. One thing is funny though, I spoke with the writer of that article for over half and hour, wrote her three pages of text to answer her questions, and during one of those emails my boyfriend was sitting next to me so I decided to write a sentence about him to make him happy (you know, one of those 'awww, she loves me' kinda things), and that's the one thing she puts in about me. :p Well, to give you an idea of when we were interviewed... my boyfriend and have been going out for over a year now. The article is cool and thanks for your compliments. ByE erin |
heh...I can't believe the explosion of my DSL modem :) (Not really) Lots of people wanting that image...

That is a great article to get the idea of FIRST out to other people. Everyone who did this artile did a good job. Why does there have to an article about Battle Bots at the bottom though?
For those of you who do not want to have to get such a large copy of the article you can see here, it only takes a few seconds to come up. This is a smaller sized copy of the article I did in photoshop after my computer ran out of memory while I was trying to read the article, have Chief Delphi on, and have AIM on. :) Please don't put such large pictures on here agian, my computer does not like pictures that big. |
Ha...I warned you. That's why no computer should be without at LEAST 256 megs of RAM :) It took 45 megs of ram to open that in the Gimp. I actually had to use some of my swap space! (384 megs of ram is hard for me to fill up!)
weedie's scan is the grandma-sized version :) Not everything has to be scanned at 1200dpi :-D I don't scale photos down. Uncompressed files rule! Heh...half a gig of robotics pictures :) all 1280x1024 and up. :) |
hmm, you always could have photoshopped it to black-and-white and used high jpg compression... quality isn't the goal here, seeing the text (while making sure your compie doesn't blow up in the process) is

I opened it in Cannon ZoomBrowser EX...Paintshop wouldn't open it. "File to large. Too many bytes." hee Anywho, 4.8MB downloaded in 9min 41 sec at 8.46 KBs. Wetzel ~~~~~~~~ Bigger pipe, need a bigger pipe.... Must double traffic every 100 days... |
If you had GIMP you could open it :P
I suppose PS could own GIMP since Adobe is a multi-million dollar company. I'd sell out for a few mil :D |
