Just Curious, what is your reasoning behind powering the wheels in pairs with 2 transmissions?

Independently powered wheels can provide more in the ways of movements and agility.

Why did you chose an AM775 gear motor over a BAG motor or a 775pro attached to a versa planetary?

The main reason is that it costs less for us to power them in pairs than individually.
I do have a different plate that is made for a 1 speed version of this for independent powering.

We already have the AM775 gear motors in stock as they were intended to be used last year for our practice drive train. Due to snow, we never ended up being able to get it completed.
There are also the mounting holes for a versa planetary if needed.

Is it lighter to go with the 2 2-speed transmissions? Doesn't that limit the drivetrains ability?
