As a member from a Wisconsin team, I'm glad that there is interest in starting another in our state. I hope it works out for you

Clarkson U has a college team!
Hey,
Good luck, if you need any help/info on how we run things up here, just drop me an email. ~JVN Team Leader Clarkson University FIRST Robotics - Team 229 |
We are offical now!
We were hoping for 1171 or 1071 or 1111 to be with our parents from 111 or 71, but hopefully the Gila Monsters will be good family for us. You can e-mail either one of us at halatekl@msoe.edu or kolodzik@msoe.edu.
Lauren (former Wildstanger) and Kevin (former Team Hammondite) (but now we are Milwaukeans - not official name!) PS We are looking for suggestions for a team name. |
Bot Name: Barley Bot :D
Team Name: If only you had Miller sponsorship... j/k of course |

future MSOE??
Hey D.J., are you still coming here next year??? We need more veterans...we should call ourselves "The Amalgamation" because of the teams that will be represented within the next few years.
Do you (or anyone else for that matter) know of anyone else that will be coming to MSOE next year, or within the next couple years?? Thanks! Kev & Lauren |
I got my acceptance letter into MSOE in the last week of October....
I think my dad sent out my money to hold my spot, if not ill do that ASAP, but yes if all goes well i'll be at MSOE next fall. |
Hehe... I'm not sure where I'll be next year...
If all goes well, I'm hoping to transfer to UW Madison for their superior physics program... But if that doesn't work out then I'm stuck here. I guess I'll have a new party buddy :D |
On Wisconsin!
As a UWM Alumni and former Wisconsin resident, nice to see it happening in Milwaukee and Wisconsin. I would like to see Marquette, UWM and Madison mentoring some teams.
There are plenty of companies, I'm sure, that would be willing to sponsor FIRST teams in Wisconsin. Particularly auto parts suppliers and manufacturers. It's a matter of exposure. Someday, there will be a regional in Wisconsin, giving me an excuse to come back and visit. According to the FIRST team list, there's Team #1054 MSOE sponsoring South Milwaukee. Shorewood High Alumni '77 UWM Alumni, Computer Science '82 Still a Packer Fan! Go Pack, Go! Anybody in Michigan play Sheepshead (they play Euchre around here)? |

I'm part of a small group that helps mentors teams. The webpage is at www.inspirationinc.org. Check it out. Any questions you can email me at lmachadoiv@inspirationinc.org. I have a number of people that help out that are really good at a variety of things. Talk to ya later.

Thank you to everyone, we appreciate you guys watching over us. Our team name is Wild Beast, combining our ancestors’ team names WILDstang and The BEAST. We might be going with a Wildebeest theme.
D.J.-our robot name was going to be “Schrodinger's Cat” (it’s a theorem/experiment, I believe) this would incorporate for your team, but “Maxwell’s Demon” (another theorem type, most EE’s at least heard of Maxwell) had won for this year. Anyway, our motto is: B.R.E.W (Better Robots Engineered Wisely) We had some Wisconsin themes going, but we might save the other if we start more teams in the following years. Team 1064, Wild Beast would like to wish everyone good luck this season. |
