Other than Tank Tread? Because those two seem to be the most viable right now from what I've seen on Ri3D robots.

A well designed drive with normal 6" or 8" wheels can probably handle most of the obstacles. The main concern is spacing the wheels properly and making sure they hit the obstacle before your frame.

I feel like large traction wheels could work. I wouldn't go with the plastic wheels, though, especially if you're flying over the rock wall like Team Indiana was doing on their livestream. We're still in the process of testing out potential wheel types, so if we get any positive results with tractions, I'll be sure to report here.

Don't let yourself be steered too far by us, we have to work almost exclusively with what we have on hand. (Us being RI3D teams in general, not just Snow Problem).

I see, I was only going off what I saw so far. Our team was planning to test other wheels just to see how well they worked. But thanks for the heads up.

What about no wheels at all. Just a walking robot. Or a mix between the two. It would be difficult but I feel like we will see at least one robot like that this year.

What qualities are your team looking for? Maybe check out the large Beadlok wheels that 25 uses on their signature drivetrains.
