16 years.
Thanks, now you're making me feel old :D |
Re: Aging FRC Mentors/Coaches/Judges/Fans/Groupies
When I started, 111 was not a permanent number, we used Motorola radios and drill batteries and there were not any alliances. For the mentor parade, I just wait until everyone has walked past and get in the end of the line. This is season 21 for me, my wife and two other WildStang mentors.

Hey everyone this is my 12th season with Team 1708 out of McKeesport, Pa. I wouldn't another season for the world. We just aged well. Not such thing as old haha.

Re: Aging FRC Mentors/Coaches/Judges/Fans/Groupies
My first seasons were 2001 and 2002 as the founder and lead mentor of 827 (sadly now defunct) in Fremont, CA; I moved back from California and had a hiatus until 2005 (while raising the funds/interest to form 1551) and have been doing it ever since.
So...eleven with 1551, two with 827. That's either thirteen or fifteen years, depending on whether or not you count the years of establishing 1551 as "being involved," which I wouldn't. Either way, it's been a minute or three. :D |
