Portcullis defense strategy

Hello, is it possible for an arm to be in one of the holes in the portcullis to stop teams from opening it? i couldn't find anything in the manual against it, so i think so. what do you all think?
Thank You!

There are no holes in the Portcullis. In actuality it's just a sheet of polycarb with black tape/paint on it (don't remember which right now).

It turns out the portcullis doesn't actually have any holes; the bars are just painted onto a polycarbonate sheet.

There aren't any holes, but if I recall correctly from the field element diagrams there is an aluminum grid on the back side of the polycarbonate.

So such a defense may be possible, but it would A) not be GP and B) tie up your one defense robot holding down the portcullis.

Also from the manual.

<G43> ROBOTS on the same half of the FIELD as their ALLIANCE TOWER may not interfere with opponent ROBOTS attempting to traverse OUTER WORKS (regardless of direction). A ROBOT is considered traversing the opponent’s OUTER WORKS if any part of its BUMPERS are within the opponent’s OUTER WORKS.

Actually if you read the feild specs there is steel under it.

if holding a door shut is not interfering, then i don't know what is
