Macintosh problem - persisting wpilib settings
 

On some (maybe all) fresh Macintosh eclipse installs, we are having trouble persisting only SOME of the WPI lib settings.
The team number persists fine.
But the "Tools Version" value stays set after we apply / save it only until we quit eclipse.
When we re-start eclipse, Run as / deploy... fails until we check the value again (which is then empty); if we re-set the value to the correct value "plugins", things work again.
We would welcome advice as to what we're missing.
-suggestions as to which file we can over-ride
-it may be a permissions issue ...

We also have the same problem.

Running OSX 10.10.5 (Yosemite), with the Mars version of eclipse.
