Pepsi Blue

Has anyone tried this new product and what did you think of it also I forgot to add in the poll options i havent tried it yet so if this is the case state that in post below

jon 04-08-2002 22:25

I hear it tastes like cotton candy.

Clark Gilbert 04-08-2002 22:29

Pepsi Blue

OH SWEET!

It's out in some places.

I was drinking a vanilla coke today and the though "i wonder why i havent seen any pepsi blue yet?" came to my mind. Now that you've posted that i'll have to keep my eyes open :D

Jon K. 04-08-2002 22:37

The Ames store where my sister works just got some in late last week and brought some home for me to try it is ok but i like code red much better it sort of has a blueberry soda taste to it but that is just my opinion

Rob Ribaudo 04-08-2002 23:03

Why must new flavers be coming out? Pepsi Twist was ok, then Coke with lemon was almost ok (seems like the same thing to me), then Vanilla Coke was just bad (to me). I don't think that I will even be trying this new Pepsi Blue. I just don't understand why new flavers have to keep coming out.
If you did not notice, I am not the kind of person who likes changes. It takes me a while to get used to something new, but I usally will learn to tolorate it over time. (Remembers backs to events where I complained about the chage only to tolorate it in a few days and go along with it.)

Clark Gilbert 04-08-2002 23:05

New Flavors.....

I had a thread on this way back when...(too lazy to look it up :) )

But there are 2 other kinds u didnt mention......Pepsi has the Pepsi Twist (which i love) and Dr. Pepper is going to release a drink called Red Fusion....

:)

Ya, I've tried the new cherry Dr. Pepper, needs more cherry. Pepsi Blue is only in "select" areas right now. I was on the product test forum for Pepsi Blue and told them not to go with it, oh well rejected again (I should have grabbed www.pepsiblue.com while I could--it was available:mad: ).

Madison 04-08-2002 23:17

Wait - so, what you're all saying is that Dr. Pepper (Mr. Pibb for you southern folk) *isn't* supposed to taste like cherry?

Uh oh.

Jon K. 04-08-2002 23:19

if you couldnt tell i was going for the pepsi products where the taste had nothing to do with the product and plus the colors are totally different too

AdamT 04-08-2002 23:52

All I think I need to say is....

carbonated, caffienated Kool-Aid...

Brandon Martus 04-08-2002 23:57

I've seen it at Target for $0.50 per 20-oz.
I've also seen it at another store, can't think of where offhand.

I tried it. It was good, then about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through I couldn't stand much more of it. Way too sweet, even for pop.

Yeah i work there. It's tastes like poop. It's not what soda is supposed to taste like. It's cotton candy/lollipop/bucket of sugar taste

evulish 05-08-2002 00:06

Screw the free samples in K-Mart...I bought a whole bottle. Very bad stuff. I guess they're going to try and compete with the badness of Vanilla Coke. It almost tastes good if you drink it in sips.

Red fusion is awful

Suike 05-08-2002 00:21

If it tastes anything like the blue mountain dew slurpee thing at 7-11 I'll drink it! That's the best slurpee in the world!!

Jon K. 05-08-2002 00:22

it is similar but i like the Mountain Dew Blue Shock slurpee at 7-11 better just because it has the capability to give you brain freeze

ditto

Jeff Waegelin 05-08-2002 11:24

I saw some in Lansing, MI the other day, but I couldn't bring myself to try it. The thought of blue Pepsi disturbed me, plus it cost way too much (it was at a baseball game). I may give it a try eventually, but not now.

As for other flavors of pop: Vanilla Coke= decent, Red Fusion= tastes like regular Dr. Pepper to me, Mt. Dew Blue Shock Slurpee= really good

Andy A. 05-08-2002 11:51

It tastes to me like the blue flavored ice pushpop thingys.

Not to bad, but a bit to sweet. Now I just need to figure out why people still think vannila coke tastes diffrent from normal coke...

-Andy A.

AdamT 05-08-2002 11:59

OK, on the subject of Vanilla Coke....

Vanilla Coke isn't some new thing just recently to come around. Diners and restaraunts used to put vanilla syrup in coke just like they did with cherry in coke...we still have a place here that will put the syrup in for you. We even have gas stations around here that you can put syrup into your fountain drink.

When you put in actual syrup, it's really good, but coke barely put any extra syrup in, so you can't really tell the difference. If you have a Sheetz gas station in your area, go there and trhey usually have syrup to put in your fountain drink. If not, next time you're at a sit-down restaraunt, ask for it with the syrup...

I think Dennys will put syrup in your drink, if I'm not mistaken.

E. The Kidd 05-08-2002 13:00

vanilla coke

hmm if people don't even like the regular vanilla coke then i wonder how many people are going to buy the diet version they're coming out with

I work at Target, and it is 50 cents. Not many people buy it, even though I can get it for 25 cents.

MattK 05-08-2002 19:40

I wounder why all these soda companys are releasing new soda (pop, lol inside joke!)

Jon K. 05-08-2002 19:40

i thought vanilla coke was the most disgusting stuff i have ever tried but if you go to Friendly's i now you can get a chocolate coke which is basically coke with chocolate syrup like for chocolate milk. But you probably wont like it if you dont like chocolate necco wafers hmmm necco wafers hmmm :D :D

MattK 05-08-2002 20:00

That Coke-Coca mix sounds goooood. I am gunna go try it!

I let you know

MattK 05-08-2002 20:08

Darn, out of diet Coke.

Got anymore cool drink mixs?

Jon K. 05-08-2002 20:11

actually i know this may sound gross but mixing orange SODA and milk makes sort of a creamsicle type drink that is actually pretty good

MattK 05-08-2002 20:16

Ha ha, my dad used to mix Milk and Orange Juice when he was little so he would throw-up to stay home from school. It work about twice.

DanLevin247 05-08-2002 20:30

Sprite and Pink Lemonade.

Jon K. 05-08-2002 20:32

sort of off topic but did anyone know that yoohoo has no milk in it

Jeff Waegelin 05-08-2002 21:03

What about Sprite and fruit punch? If you use the right stuff (I forget which brand it is) it tastes almost exactly like Code Red, but with less aftertaste.

Rob Ribaudo 05-08-2002 21:07

Remember Lavern and Shirly, milk and pepsi. It is not too bad actually.

Anyway, these new drinks would not be so bad is the soda companies tried to actually make the drink with the flavor they say it has. Lemon Coke would be better if it actually tasted like there was lemon in it, and the same thing goes with Vanilla Coke. I think you get the idea by now.

MattK 05-08-2002 21:10

I cant taste the difference between V-Coke or regular coke or Cancer-Coke (Diet coke, another FIRST PLACE INSIDE JOKE)

Brandon Martus 05-08-2002 21:46

I heard Dr. Pepper & Coffee was good.
But, the guy I heard it from is a nut, so who knows.

D.J. Fluck 05-08-2002 22:51

Right ON! I used to make that when I was little. But to go back on the topic, no, I have never had Pepsi Blue, but I did see it in Ohio, but not in Virginia, yet.

Melissa Nute 06-08-2002 12:47

I had some Pepsi Blue when I was in Kentucky this past week...I actually liked it and so did the people I was hanging with...
We spent more time drinking that and Ale 8 than we did anything else...the shelves in our dorms were filled with it...hehe

Wetzel 06-08-2002 12:50

Havn't seen it yet.
And vanillia coke is yucky to me
