im going to a school that you havent heard of: Rose-Hulman
Hey, one of our old teammates went there. If you see an unusually small kid there, it's probably him.
Rose-Hulman is an awesome school. Its engineering program is ranked first in the nation of all the schools that only have an undergrad program.

gniticxe 12-08-2002 12:13

its 1600, but close enough. it is almost the same size as my HS. Anyway, small colleges aren't for everyone. Rose is just engineering (as you know) so you have 1600 students in the engineering cirriculum, which is not entirely unheard of in regular universities.

David Kelly 12-08-2002 12:15

we have 3 former members that now go to Rose. i know there is a guy from the technokats who goes there and also someone who helped out with 393. they had tried to start a team last year, but it didn't work out. if you want to get in contact with these kids to possibly start a team, you can email me. dkelly@cyberblue234.com

gniticxe 12-08-2002 12:30

you got mail!

But I'm still staying on Team 263 if my schedule permits...
And I've got friends on Team 271 I may like to visit...

:D

Michael and I started a FIRST club at Stony Brook last year. Stony Brook does officially sponsor team 810 and possibly another rookie team this year. We are sponsored officially through CEAS and not polity (which is lucky for us). If you send me or Michael your email address, Michael or I will be sure to keep you updated on when we hold club meetings.

This is a bit off the topic but I was wondering if everyone is majoring in engineering on this thread. I want to be a bio major and I was wondering if anyone else was intending on doing the same

Molly Menges 14-08-2002 12:32

i'm majoring in biology, but i have met a lot of people this week who are majoring in engineering..lol..(not that anyone really cares) :-D

Kristina 14-08-2002 12:49

I'm going to UCLA and definately won't be committing to an engineering major. It's all about political science, yeah!

Erin Rapacki 15-08-2002 13:51

Northeastern University and Mechanical Engineering all the way! (The guys at work are trying to convince me to go Electrical, uhhhhhhhhh......... yea.)

DUCKIE 19-08-2002 11:30

I feel so inadiquate. gniticxe always gets to the threads before me! [tear]

Any who... I'm attending University of Delaware for Mech. Eng. w/ my swanky ASME scholarship.

Anyone else going to UD? Have info on the Racecar team if you're interested.
