Question about Actuators

I was wondering if this type of actuators will be accepted by the FRC?

Thanks

Re: Question about Actuators

Not with the stock motor. You'd have to remove and replace the motor to be in compliance with the rules.

Re: Question about Actuators

Out of curiosity, does anyone know of any electrical actuators that are compatible with any of the approved motor list? We need one w/ a 2" stroke and another one with a 8" stroke.. Both ideally about a 1/2" diameter rod and able to move... Well.. Unsurprisingly 120lbs minimum.

Thanks!

http://dartactuators.com/ are designed for CIM motors.

Other than that, you may have to do some engineering. This is, after all, an engineering challenge.
