Oh, I'm just waiting on this one. FYI, I voted for red, just 'cause red is good. No real explanation.

Actually, as long as they were the same color(i.e. not one red, one blue - what alliance are you really on?)...there's nothing in the rules that says you couldn't...after all, it would fall under non-functional decoration

I'm gonna have to say BLUE, because we have BLUE on our jerseys, we also have RED, but much less RED than BLUE.

Rob Colatutto 07-08-2002 23:41

heh, i am gonna have to say blue as well, cause well, blue is simply the best color and our robot looked awesome with blue

Red looks better on our bot. We usually use a blue theme for our bot (blue is one of our school's colors and motorola's color) so the red sticks out better.

Those lights draw more then enough power already, and you want two???

You're correct in saying that it doesn't say you couldn't but just the same the rules don't specify that you can. Revolving lights are not on the additional hardware list and you are not allowed to use parts from previous years so I would have to say you can't.

you can always call first and check with them. they tend to say yes to suff that dosen't really interfere with the play of the game like another light(unless it blocks vision in some way)

As I mentioned, it would be considered a non-functional decoration, which means it would not fall under materials limitations as given in the manual.
