Wireless hub Rule Specification
Hello.
In regards to the rule 5.5.1 T4, that states that teams may not set up their own 802.11a/b/n/ac (2.4GHz or 5GHz) wireless communication (e.g. access points or ad-hoc networks) in the venue, it also specifies that a wireless hot spot created by a cellular device is considered an access point. There is no explicit statement that says we cannot use Bluetooth for sharing information while scouting. Does Bluetooth violate this rule? |
Re: Wireless hub Rule Specification
I'm pretty sure it's legal considering many scouting apps (including one that we have used) use Bluetooth to send the data to the 'captain' tablet.
