Java SmartDashboard won't open after 2016 Update Suite
After the 2016 update the Java Smart Dashboard will not open up from the driver station or when we change the driver station configuration setting to run it on when the driver station is opened.
Has anyone else encountered these issues, and does anyone know if there is anything further we need to do? Thanks! |

We have the same issue. For now we're just manually opening it.

If you're referring to the SmartDashboardFX (SFX), then we have the same issue. If you're referring to the old SmartDashboard, then it works fine for us.

any further information on this?
We are unable to open SmartDashboard even manually from the jar file in wpilib. We have been able to use and open SmartDashboard fx though. Have others found fx to be a useful interface/ an improvement? |

I am very curious about the SmartDashboardFX though! I only read about it briefly on a 2014 WPILib however. I just learned HTML/CSS and JavaScript awhile ago so I'd love to use it. Would you be so kind, as to provide me a link to the one for this season and any instructions page? |

Re: Java SmartDashboard won't open after 2016 Update Suite
I fixed it!
I reinstalled Java which made the SmartDashboard and SmartDashboardFX work however Eclipse no longer worked after that ... But then I changed the configuration settings for Eclipse to point to the right directory and everything worked and I lived happily ever after. |
