I was told there was going to be. It will supposedly be given out Friday (tomorrow) morning. I believe it's 1810 doing it again.

It was being discussed today. If they set one up, it'll be posted in KC FIRST's twitter or Facebook page probably.

Also, for those wondering about the low bar fabric and why we had bumper material rather than the new vinyl that was in the Team Update, it's because FIRST decided to only ship it to "most" regionals.

It looks like there are going to be 99 matches for 59 teams!

A full schedule link can be either on here- https://www.thebluealliance.com/event/2016mokc or

1810 looks forward to competing against all of the other awesome teams here, and good luck to all teams competing during FIRST Stronghold!

Indeed it was. I'll admit, I'm kinda sad to see it go, but congratulations to the #1 Alliance of 1986, 1775, and 4455. I'll make a better write up later, because I am simply beat.

On behalf of Team Titanium, FRC 1986, I wanted to thank all of the volunteers and staff that helped to put on the Greater Kansas City regional. This crew found a way to squeeze in 10 matches for every team (59 of them!), even giving up lunch on Friday to make it happen. Thank you for going above and beyond what was normal to make this experience extraordinary.

The streak of a defending GKC winner always being on the next winning alliance has been broken (with a little tip of the cap to a team who won the very first GKC regional). Thank you Tigerbytes, FRC 1775, for joining us on this journey. You lived up to our scouts' expectations of 5 boulders per match while clearing multiple defenses in our efforts to breach. And thanks to FRC 4455, The Burger Bots, for playing dynamite defense. Between the two of you (except for QF#1) we always had at least 8 boulders in, and the other side never did!

Wanted to give a special shout out to FRC 1987, the Broncobots. This team scared our scouts, and earned our deepest respects. With a very consistent 20 point autonomous and the ability to pound the high goal from close and far range they had the complete package. No surprise to see them in the finals, and expecting great things from them at the Hub City Regional in week 5.

1 1986 1775 4455 (W)
2 5119 1939 1810 (QF)
3 1806 1987 0935 (F)
4 4959 1785 5730 (SF)
5 1730 3528 2346 (QF)
6 1825 4522 1108 (QF)
7 3172 1997 1769 (SF)
8 5098 2457 5801 (QF)

Top honors for EI and Chairmans went to The Kuhnigits, FRC 1939, and Liberty Robotics, FRC 1764. Both of these teams continue to help make the Kansas City area a hot bed for engineering excellence, and it will be a pleasure to join the two of you at Champs.

We've had a special relationship this year with FRC 5801, CTC Inspire. And couldn't be more thrilled to see you guys get the chance to attend the last single location world championship event for FIRST robotics. The rookie all star award was well deserved.

Last of all I wanted to express how proud I am to be a part of Team Titanium. Special congratulations to Jacob Schnitzlein honored as a Dean's List finalist. Students like you make all the late nights worth it. Thank you for balancing our relentless pursuit of excellence with a willingness to help every team that calls, writes, or stops by our pit for programming help. You inspire me.
Win/Loss Record = 16-0-0
OPR = 60.00 (3rd Highest in the World thus far)

PS. Thank you to the webcast team for allowing the rest of the world to peek in on our event. (My mom watched the whole thing.)

FRC 1987, the Broncobots, would also like to thank the organizers\volunteers of the Greater Kansas City Regional. The event was smooth like it normally is. The competition was great to watch.

FRC 1986, Team Titanium, won again with the help of FRC 1775, Tigerbytes and FRC 4455, The Burger Bots. A huge Congratulations goes out to this alliance.

It was most impressive that FRC 1986, Team Titanium found the perfect first alliance partner selection in FRC 1775, Tigerbytes. The ability for the alliance to put 8 or more balls into the tower made the alliance formidable at GKC.

It is great to see some different teams getting the attention they deserve on the Championship invitation awards. Congratulations to FRC 1939, The Kuhnigits and FRC 1764, Liberty Robotics. Both teams are top notch programs. We have heard some say they have a great chance at Championships. We know you will represent the Kansas City area well.

We would also like to thank our alliance partners FRC 1806, SWAT and FRC 935 RaileRobotics. Our students enjoyed working with both teams. The possibilities of winning were there if the robots were working like they did during qualifications.

While all of our students are family that we are extremely proud of, a special shout out goes to Connie Wentworth, Dean's List Finalist. That young woman is a shining example of why all of the mentors\coaches do what we do.

Congratulations to all the teams that won an award and competed at the GKC regional. In my opinion probably one of the toughest regionals in the Midwest.

Congrats to 1986, 1775, and 4455, for winning, and 1806, 1987, and 935 for taking 2nd place.

Good luck to all those who earned a ticket to champs.

Look at that cluster of teams under 2000! Maybe a related to the GKC Regional's 10th Anniversary? Kansas City is definitely producing some great STEM programs. Congratulations to those making the trip across the state. Up Next will be cheering for everyone. (Not gonna lie though- sad there is such a big gap between 1987 and 4455 without 3528 in there). ;)
