Everytime those annoying AOL CD's come through the mail to my house, I try to get rid of as soon as I can. If I don't, then my brother (who is 20 years old!) will take them and use them as frisbees. They can hurt if they hit you . Then he takes them and shaters them by bending them. Those CD's sure can bend alot before they shater into lots of little peices ;).

So the question comes up....
What is the safest way to shatter an AOL CD??? |
Clay shooting with the cds.....its good stress relief :D

I do this with AOL CD's...
This must be the best thing to do with AOL CD's, I tape them together or tape them to the wall (shiny side up) and you get one huge weird CD mirror, it look the best. I've also thought of taping them to the ceiling or using them as a border. I made one two years ago (7 CD's by 4 CD's) and I have it hanging over my desk. I haven't gotten around to making it bigger. But trust me... it looks cool.

I have a CD mirror on my desk at home. It keeps a certain someone from being able to sneak up on me and scare the *beep* out of me! Of course, half of the time, I'm completely engrossed in what I'm doing and I fail to check it...
I saw a CD hanging from someon's rearview mirror recently, so I guess they can be decorative. MissInformation <==========> "Show me the ways to get around the get around" -Tori Amos. |

I liked taking 50 of the free AOL cd's from Sears in the mall. Run out yelling "INTERNET ACCESS" then start throwing them across the mall.
I loved those free floppies. Those were great. I had a few hundred of those because we got old computer magazines like Family PC and Home PC. I think I still have some of them lying around. Free reusable stuff was great. I don't know how AOL cd's would be for a prom. I mean, if it was for a girls gown...some thought-out cd grabbing could leave a girl a bit embarassed. Hehe. It would be hard to move... I'm still going for the classic duct-tape tux. And who keeps bringing up ancient threads? |
back to the whole prom thing
last year, one of the seniors, AJ, showed up in a full fledged astronaut suit. complete with helmet. It was very authentic, but, the teachers who were taking admission tickets wouldn't let him in because it wasn't "formal attire." So, my friend Erie, who was on our team last year, proceeded to call all the local news crews. It definatly made for an interesting night.

Re: Formal
Formal....you should be yourself and dress comfortably especially many of us attending our schools proms will be out the entire night dancing, partying, etc...
|
Yea, mimi told the story about the astronaut suit already...but it was definitly interesting...it shouldn't matter what you wear...if you pay to get in then you should be allowed to get in! its just this idea that you have to wear the standard tux and dress...don't get me wrong i love prom and can't wait...but if you wanna be different you should be allowed to do so! i'm not really sure what i would wear...but the aol cd thing does sound cool...i work at Target and its so funny cause people come in and ask if they can have more than one cd...we tell them to take them all cause we hate them! haha!
