Did you know...

Did you know that it's impossible to lick your own elbow?:D

Matt Attallah 16-08-2002 21:37

It's also impossible to touch your right hand to your right elbow!:D ;) :p

Is this known from personal experience? Because I can see myself trying this. (I actually already have...just to make sure you weren't lying) You're right :(

Katie Reynolds 17-08-2002 02:07

/me cuts off her arm... licks the outer part of her elbow... sews her arm back on...

I win! :D

Did you also know that your foot and forearm are the same size? And (my brother found) that your pinky finger is the same size as your ear!

This whole physically inmpossible to lick your elbow stuff makes me laugh :) I only knwo one person who can do it but yeh my little sister can lick her elbow, I even have a picture to prove it!

Melissa Nute 17-08-2002 14:26

That if you have your fingers spread out and you middle finger bent down so that both finger joints are touching the ground - er, just look at the picture - you can't raise your ring finger nomatter how hard you try?

(taking that picture was so awkward... I had to hold the cam in one hand, keep the other hand in that position, and I had to angle my body so that I clicked the mouse button with one of my toes, so you better enjoy it!)

Melissa Nute 17-08-2002 14:58

Dan - maybe you can't do that....but i can...well with my pinkie also moving up to...

Adam Y. 17-08-2002 15:15

Ooo yeah. I'm probably the only person around long island that can bend both his wrists all the way down so that they touch my forearm. Heh I wouldn't even have known about it if it wasn't for me taking Jui-Jitsu. There are a whole set of techniques use your enemies wrists and bend them forward. I've also got no nerve endings in five differnt places(of course if you don't take Jui-Jitsu you probably wouldn't know what I'm talking about). It's quite annoying for other people when they work with me sometimes because of it.:)

Yeah my wrists and hands are hyper-mobile (along with being arthritic) and that lets me bend my fingers at a 90 degree angle towards my wrists. I can also bend my thumb back to touch my forearm ;) Yeah, I'm strange. Oh, and Dan, you're right. Doing that, I can't move my ring finger at all! I can move my pinky but that's it. Hmm..
