I would just look at the 2002 Competition manual and see if it's there or just take some calipers and measure it yourself. No calipers, a ruler with small increments will do just as well.

I haven't found the specific dimension you're asking for. Here's a pretty detailed link on dis-assembling the transmission, including reference to some whitepapers:

I agree with sanddrag.

ithe unfortunate problem is i dont have a caliper! and the motor shaft goes right where the ruler should go!!! i guess i will have to go to the manual!:(

Or you could just take it apart and take that piece off because the manual is mighty large.

Greg Perkins 31-08-2002 19:30

i just took the transmission apart, and wow!! i hadnt taken one apart before. i figured out how to mount it but i still do not know the distance between the screws. like i said before does anybody know the distance, please HELP!!!

That front black clutch piece with the screw holes comes off and you should be able to measure it with a ruler. I would just go measure it for you but the parts are locked up at school.

Hey Badjokeguy.
I have a set of calipers in my desk as does your robot ops coordinator. Ask and you shall receive!
