Video: RoboRiot Team 3418 Tank Tread Test

Here is a Video of some tests going over the defenses with our custom tank drive. Each side is powered by a custom 2 CIM bevel gearbox with a 2:1 ratio. The rest of the gearing is accomplished by a 9 tooth sprocket and 23 tooth gear on the back drive wheel. Final ratio is 5.11 to 1. It uses the same type of belt as the Andymark Rhino treads however we sourced them with a different tread type. The side plates are 1/4 inch 6061 aluminum. We weighted it down with a cinderblock and some big chunks of lead to around 150lbs. We have been really pounding this chassis going full speed into all the defenses both forwards and backwards. So far it is holding up great. The only thing we have broken is the cinderblock. We hit a few times so hard it cracked into 3 pieces.

When did the cinderblock get cracked? I don't remember that?
