Has anyone tried 8" foam tires?

8" pneumatic tires have been hard to come by this season, and I was wondering if anyone tried what we tried. We bought 8" foam filled tires from a third party and got some screwdrivers and knives and got the foam out. No shortage on inner tubes.

It's worked pretty well for us so far, albeit that isn't a very long time. Has anyone else tried this? Is there a problem down the line we aren't seeing?

Thanks in advance.

Pnuematic tires are more bouncy.

Bouncy is not always good! We've let about half the air out of our AM 8" wheels because they are TOO bouncy.

I toyed with the idea of stuffing them full of pool noodles to avoid the slim chance of popping.

I agree, but our logic was that you can let air out of a pneumatic wheel but not a foam one.
