Is our Jetson TK1 Broken?

Let me explain our situation. Our Jetson TK1 has stopped turning on, It was working up until yesterday (2/8/16), it will turn on for a brief second, the fan spins and the power led blinks for a brief second. Is it broken or are we missing something.

https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/t...fails-to-boot/

---This is if the board has lost the bootstrap loader, but it sounds more serious than that.

Try the board with nothing but power from the ac adapter. If that doesn't work, check to see if you are getting 12v from the ac adapter. The Tk-1 should run off 12v battery, but may not if the voltage is +- 2v of 12.

Did the board ever work, or did something happen when it was connected to something else? Since you have supplied very few details, it is hard to say what 's going on.

If the board turns on briefly and then shuts down, it is usually a power or hardware issue, but not always. Check to see if something is getting shorted out, (aluminum chips on the board, pins or jumpers messed up, etc)

All in all, I'd put this issue on the back burner until you have a bagged robot. :deadhorse:

The one we got last year broke - couldn't re-image it, no video output.

There's a 1 year warranty (we were just under that!) and nVidia replaced it for us.

It was working for a few weeks. I could not attend a few meetings and when I got back Tuesday other programmers on the team were saying it was broken and they do not know what happened.
