Yay. School.

Today, I had THR 116 - Stagecraft II. It'll be a breeze, if I don't drop it. We have to do 40 hours worth of lab work during the semester, and I don't know if I have the time.

Tomorrow;

HIS 103 - American History to 1877 - a refresher. I placed out of this.

HIS 250 - Second World War 1939-1945
HIS 264 - Birth of Modern America
HIS 268 - Recent U.S. History - 1919 to Present

Not a single math, science or engineering course anywhere to be found.

I am delighted.

junior year for me, all in all, not that bad...

(this is just a class list, not in period order for me)

1) AP Physics (10 periods a week, ugh)
2) CISCO (yeah, i'll have my CCNA by the time i'm out of high school, i hope :p)
3) English 11R (cause i'm an idiot)
4) AP US History
5) Net Sports (Gym, but we only play tennis, volleyball, etc)
6) Science & Research (The Intel Prep class, taught by our main advisor)
7) Spanish 4
8) Math 11H (i think it's pre-calc)
9) AP Computer Science (cause i <3 computers :D)

as i said, it's pretty easy, and it should be a fun year. the fact that i only have two regents in june makes me happy (but i have the dreaded english regents in january, the middle of the friggin build season >:() oh well, the sooner school starts, the sooner kickoff is ;), and at my count, i believe it's 123 days now. check with katie though, i think she's keeping the offical record.

you have a robotics class? that's awesome. i wish we had that. perhaps i should propose a proposal.

DanLevin247 09-03-2002 04:24 PM

Yes, we have a F.I.R.S.T. robotics class, we do all sorts of engineering stuff during the off season, we work with cad, lego-league ( mentoring middle school lego robotics teams ) cart races ( look at our webpage www.dabear247.net ) We also do off season events such as Occra, and CD. The program has it's own area in the school, the old auto shop, we don't have any machines in there, we go to a local college to build stuff, but it's ours! hahaha!....my picture in my profile is me in my first class, getting work done, as usual.

we have a school class (starting this year). we had some problems with finding a good teacher, and a place for it, but we solved that. now the only problem is making sure the school lets us use the same room from last year. my school is too cheap (stupid old people who vote down budgets >:() to give us our own room, so we use a tech room that's used once or twice a day. it's a pain though, cause we have to clean up every weekday night :(. i wish we hada good sponser with a nice room for us...

Melissa Nute 09-03-2002 05:17 PM
